Al-Qaeda Babies
I had a nightmare
There were Al-Qaeda babies crawling in my room
With turbans on their heads
I know it sounds racist, it's awful, totally sick
but you gotta believe me
These Johnny Jihads were glowing in the dark
And I sensed bombs in their brains, saying gooooo geeeee gaaaa-gaaaa!
I've never been so terrified in my life
I had to leap over them, they were so ******* real
Any moment they'd explode
in a thin blood step of suicide
and Al-Qaeda day care
It wasn't just that
I knew the evil they'd become
Let me tell you how I got in this awful mess
I had this crazy idea
about confronting evil
Rwanda, genocide, all that ****
In all the books I could find
I thought I could make peace with the world
If I just cried my guts out
ship-wreck some snot mess, you know what I mean
Well, I guess the joke's on me
I needed a nightmare to tell me
There's no truth in evil
There's nothing to find
When it's all an illusion to begin with
Just like that nightmare
What a lesson that was.
I'll always remember those Al-Qaeda babies
They really saved my life
As twisted as that sounds
It's true
And yes, it's a true story
If you don't believe me...
Then God help you,
And you'll meet those Al-Qaeda babies.
Best waking nightmare of my life. Got a poem out of it.

I wonder if anyone will laugh at my sick sense of humor. That'll be fun to see.

Bomb in Reverse
Those guns were a lullaby to the world you left behind.
“Life’s too short if you ask for mercy. Because dying never ends,” you said
Like a whisper too late
We're all bombs in reverse
than can be seen from outer space

The world is a firing gun--
"My pain is my defiance. It's no longer a scar," you said
close to death,
The riot ate us alive
And I believed you.
I really did.
Everyone's holding onto the world
like it was a grenade tied to their veins
Voices, tiny earthquakes,
all their hopes and fears that might send the sky to blow
It was left to burn
in slow-motion riddles.
a long winding road of the torn up lives that were left behind
I felt your sound
Like a whisper too late
"Your heart is eternal as the sky--even as you feel it breaking."
My tears falling wind chimes -- they left a presence in the air
And I believed you.
I believed you.
I really did
When your voice was the last bomb
that I ever felt.
In the instant I knew
My soul broke the sound barrier
And I was home
in the fire
I swore that I must've heard
"Madness is the god."
"Sanity is a lie."
"Love is the truth."
That only the fire
could ever find.
Things that only death
could ever speak of.
A sketched poem, trying someone new

Don't Fade Away
My love you are the religion of bones
a secret language tossed in the drums  of their vision and oracle--
etched porcelain white in search of their Creator.
You reconnect to the life giving waters
calling from towers.
pale fate, tiny atoms that crystallize you into being
on the chance of colliding fire, hot comets
a shroud of voices from the same body of darkness
touch the origins to your life
in the sweeping winds
that grazes your skin
like ghostly figures on the rise of the
moon
--still a part of you--
even as you fade.

Dark Passage
Let’s say that time and grief are jealous lovers
who secretly long for one other
so they dig their claws fighting each other within our very souls
twisting the body, all sense of self.
Maybe you’d go insane
if you measured the duration of time
with your scars  if the body feels like the shadow of someone else’s memory
So they wait to forgive each other, expecting each other to speak to another and once they do
it’s all in riddles because a simple answer
doesn’t exist and will never be found.
In their kisses  they stole lives
They stole hearts  from the sky.
"Oh, but I can never breath
without your unknowing," they say
returning to each others arms.
Feeling death in the silence
that's their only knife's repair,
And all they can say is, "your the last of my dreams. You're my fading melody."
She asks, "then what does the moonlight
sound like? Is it your love?"
He replies, "It's your pain, my love. Always, forever.
I'll never leave you.
I'm not that kind of lover.
So Don't be afraid.
You'll never be alone.
You're the reason I live.
You're the reason I die."

Cannibal Love
The cannibal is thirsty
for a flesh martini
Dabs of salt here and there
On tongue and ocean groin
The ******* is hungry
To be the tender olive
Eaten very slowly
Lick the ****** pleasures
Of each other's
knife
kiss
Maternal affections
pouring open by God's rage
They are
shelter
Ignition
To each other's
demons
wonderfully delicious
as frosting or
whipped
cream
They are rare fruit, indeed
What are the odds of them finding each other?
Just goes to show, my lonely lovers
There's someone for everyone
You too
Will find
Your soul mate
Someday
just as the blood
Will eventually
Drip
from
the cannibal's
smiling
mouth
Oh my love,
you are my
yummy chicken bone
dipped in
your
sauce
"Ahhhhh...." he says
"This must be love."
