She threw all her weight towards me,
Facing the opposite direction she was falling in.
I caught her.
One arm:
softly placed
around her neck.
The other:
Around her lower back.
But I didn't know
If she wanted to be caught
or wanted To fall.

And sometimes on rainy days,
You gracefully dance around the corners of my home.
Peeking your eyes around them to check if I've noticed you.
You run down the stairs making enough noise,
so I know where you're heading.

You stand outside of the shower, waiting
To surprise me with a towel in your hands.
Behind my seat while I enjoy the black-sweet coffee.
And on rainy days, I sometimes join you.

Undicisive, lost, and alone.
Never know what is wanted,
Only what is not;
And I don't want you so far away.
