Kendall Jun 2014
sometimes i sit on
the floor of my shower and
let the water run all over my body and
think about what it would feel like to have
your hands run all over my body
for more than just one night
and think about how it would feel if
even one of the things you said to me was true.
on that blurry night, in the soft darkness,
when the only think that was in focus was
the feeling
of your fingertips on my skin.

Untitled
Kendall Jan 2014
I want to write a poem.

I want to write a poem, and
Finally
I want to make the
Jumble of chromatin letters
And words
And colors
Inside my infant heart
Rush out onto the paper.

But what is my poem about?

I have not loved
Anyone
So much that it feels as if
They are the missing piece in my
Expert level puzzle.

I have not lost anyone
Whom i loved so much that each day
Without them
Feels like
flying through a thunderstorm.

Never have i taken a Russian roulette risk,
Or spun out of control like
a windmill in a tornado,
Never have i ever watched
The blood drop from my skin and
Land in puddles on the bathroom floor.

Maybe ill just sit here until
My life becomes something that is
Worth
Writing a poem about.

These I Have Loved
Kendall Jan 2014
These I have loved; sunlight on white curtains;
Stories in color within an eye;
The month of May and it's buttery yellow colour;
And lemonade; the smell of rain;
Anxiety at the start of a game;
Things that aren't always the same;
Smiles that come with "hello"s;
The feeling in your stomach from laughing too much;
Waking up to the surprise of snow;
Starlight and firefly's twinkling glow;
Knowing that I have places to go;
And people to see;
And things that I know.
My little white puppy;
And that magical place;
The smile on your face;
That comes because of me;
These are the things,
These I have loved.

tomorrow{}yesterday
Kendall Jan 2014
Do you remember yesterday?
Swear you'll never
let it slip away.
Promise that
you will
never forget.
Promise that
you will
never regret.

When we were on the side where the
grass was green,
And the best things that happened were
the things left unseen,
And the fantasies living inside of my head
Came out
And danced
But when the sun set, they fled.
Each star up above, a wish that came true,
And most of those stars
I wished on for you.

And as the moon rose high above
The bay,
I pleaded, "yesterday, won't you stay?"

For tomorrow yesterday will be
Nothing but
A memory

— The End —
