Savanna
You are not the waves that let me float
You are the boat that cradles me

You are not the path I follow
You are the shoes that comfort my dreary feet

You are not like a friend to me
You are my best companion

You are not there to fill in the nothing
You are there so I find joy in what I have

You are not the lamp that guides the way
You are the hand in mine that leads me

You are not my fish in the sea
You are the fisher that set me free

You are not the sun that warms the day
You are the moon that does all it can to brighten the night

You are not my heart
You are the life that flows through my veins

You are not the rain that cleanses me
You are the warm breeze that helps me to dry

You are not a piece of my life
You are the frame that holds it together

You are the love for me

Hello
 Apr 2013 Kaylin miglin
Amanda
Walking past you in the hall,
Only stopped by your "hello",
This then turned into something,
That none would ever know.

We both start talking now,
And it gives my heart a whirl,
Just one crazy awesome guy,
And this silly little girl.

Trying to keep this secret,
And avoiding the wild stares,
But then I think to myself,
That they don't really care.

We enjoy our own adventures,
And let our imaginations run free,
I will never let these moments go,
This I can guarantee.

You walk me to my door,
And we stop to stare at space,
And I then appear to be lost,
Just I return through your embrace.

I'm surprised by this act,
But I melt into your clutch,
I can feel my heart beat skip,
From your strong yet soft touch.

After several like moments after,
And I have to say goodbye,
You say how much I mean to you,
Which gives me a tear in my eye.

You say I am your whole world,
And mean everything to you,
That you are there for me always,
And I have someone to turn too.

I shy away my smile,
And slowly start to glow,
And this makes me wonder,
Why before we didn't say "hello".
Another rhyme-y one... Its how I roll.
Our fuming sun, atop our sight
Released a breath of love today
Now drenched with light, we understand
And thus, to not forget, we pray

Tonight, I turn my head up high
And tune my ears to words unsaid
For nature carries strength with stillness
Sweetly by the riverbed

Warring storms have rattled branches
Striking hard upon our home
But never will they shake the roots
That show us deeply how we’ve grown

And “Om” is heard beneath a flood
Of hollow hate and daunting doubt
But gracefully, all will be dry
Beneath the pain, our tree will sprout
The cinder longs burn after flame expires
A dim reminder of long past fires
As nostalgic warmth of embers glows
The biting chill of winter slows
A smile as cinders begins to fade
Knowing the cold you must abade
Seasons change and flames do flicker
Times shall pass with skin made thicker
