Summer Apr 2018
You told me that you'd never leave me,
if only I knew what a lie that'd come to be.
You said you were in love,
you said I was all you ever thought of.
You said we'd never be apart,
you said I was the only one in your heart.
Now you've got me lying on the floor in a ball,
going through complete withdrawal.
Gasping for air,
while you don't even care.
Trying to wrap my head around how it ended,
as my heart begging to be mended.
All because you couldn't keep your word.

Whose bff is that? I think I know.
Its owner is quite happy though.
Full of joy like a vivid rainbow,
I watch her laugh. I cry hello.

She gives her BFF a shake,
And laughs until her belly aches.
The only other sound's the break,
Of distant waves and birds awake.

The bff is fun, happy and deep,
But she has promised to keep,
After cake and lots of sleep.
Sweet dreams come to her cheap.

She rises from her gentle bed,
With thoughts of kittens in her head,
She eats her jam with lots of bread.
Ready for the day ahead.
