The Twisted
Katya T-Rapp Jun 2014
Those who are twisted together
do not care much for anything else
unless it too, is twisted together
with something that makes it whole.

Those who are twisted together
create their own separate world
Where their ephemeral dreams become tangible
In the midst of emotions they’ve whirled

Those who are twisted together
admire the ideas of heart
that depict the polarity of desires
and the gut-wrenching thought of being twisted apart.

A Pantoum: Rain
Katya T-Rapp Jun 2014
The tops of trees receive it first
Our ears receive it second
It falls upon our ready flesh
As we embrace the natural tears

Our ears receive it second
With its hollow splat
As we embrace the natural tears
That braze our sapphire veins

With its hollow splat
It scents the breaths of winds
that braze our sapphire veins
The placid rhythm of the rains.

The house of dreams
Katya T-Rapp Nov 2013
I feel like I am in a house of my subconscious
a house, of an almost-nightmare.
One that is like a labyrinth,
Where you never want the excitement to stop,

But then comes the point when you need something real, something tangible, physical.
I am surrounded,
there is too much that is seen but not touched,
too much illusion,

but it builds excitement, or adventurous fear,
like you are on a lone trip,
exploring a world that somebody else created.
A creation you had no part in.

I am the mouse in the experiment.

Untitled
Katya T-Rapp Jun 2013
It was the water droplet that blurred my vision,
falling into the outer corner of my left eye.
His direct stare was all that was in focus,
behind him were the obscured grey tiles and open shower door
the sound of water slapping our bare feet
the words of his heart sounding passionately
pleading, "believe me"  hard and soft
my eyes felt naked, **** in vulnerability
the moment was beautiful,
the moment was perfect
you are perfect,  the line resounded in my soul
but didn't penetrate this wordless place
how did I deserve this flawless love
how did I deserve his inspiring grace

knots

My minds fingers are
too thick to undo
these knots in my stomach
tangled by you

Realm of gold
Katya T-Rapp May 2013
The words tumble down so easily
cascading through his realm,
A realm of smooth enchantments
A realm of dripping gold
gold of skin,
of air and self

He himself inspires,
enables and enthralls.
spinning her quite carefully with fingers of delight
swirling and twirling around they go
he moves - she rises
as dust or mist - so light
a tornado
of stars, of bright, of sea

He directs the spirals of chaos,
she plunges in and the warmth splashes through,
to soul from body, a ghostly path.
Another worldly wonder,
Another tender thrill.

He is of soft stone
pristinely carved
A delicate hand knew how to mold
earth, fire, ocean, and breeze, to create
a being pieced together with gold

Pure and lustrous, drawing her in
like rain or wind, she cannot control
her bold attraction to his realm of gold.
