Happiness is a cheerful, sky-blue balloon
floating high above your head in the summer sky
Carefree and not tied down
When popped, it sinks down, down
D
O
W
N

But friends help lift it up, back to the sky so it floats again,
B     B    I     G
   O    B   N
In the playful wind so you are never truly alone

You get trodden on everyday
And never thanked nor thought of
Bare feet, stocking feet, muddy shoes, wet shoes,
You have seen it all
If you could talk what would you say?
Would you complain?
Or do you like your job (I can't think why)
Would you tell us your dreams?
Do you want to be a flying carpet?
And fly across the world like a bird on the wing,
seeing and knowing everything?
Or are you content laying in frot of the crackling flames, warming yourself by the hearth.

Crashing and thundering on the silky sand
Sleeping never, neither in night nor day.
Changing in the blink of an eye from
Calm, peaceful, happy
To
Raging, violent, deadly
And again to soothing and gentle.
Causing shipwrecks and bringing danger
OR
A feeling of contentment and awe at the beauty of this world
Children dance in and out of the playful waves, laughing
Swimming, boating, fishing, looking for shells around and in you
Touching all shores,
Earth wrapped in eternal embrace.
Yet still, you crash into shore, wanting to be among friends.
Why?
Are you lonely, Ocean?

Dancing swallows fly
merrily above my head.
Soon, Spring will come here
