Clad in silver and blue, they come riding through

The strong and the bold, of legends untold

The warriors of our youth.

‘Twas there a young man armed with nothing but charm came to sweep me up off of my feet.

My lady, my love, he sang unto me

my dear, my darling, my sweet

I’ve longed for you so,

I’ve searched high and low,

for someone of your charming way.

Your golden blonde hair, your blue eyes that stare,

shall shine on our wedding day.

My gallant young knight looked deep in my eyes,

pressing my hand into his chest.

I felt his heart beating, as if it were mine already,

and it was my turn to confess.

My brave young lord, my gentleman with a sword,

my cavalier with a dashing physique.

I would without haste marry you,

and be your love true,

if you hadnt asked the milk maid last week.

I'm running through forests in my mind, i'm skating on golden ponds.
I finally have you to myself, but only until dawn.
Our night begins under milky twilight, my hand fits into yours.
We journey across the unknown land, we wade through out the shores.
The cool night breeze blows gently first, but harder as we run.
Our time together will disappear as the night sky meets the sun.
We don't look back as we venture on, lost in the midnight blue.
Our laughter plays the only song, we have the heart to dance to.
Everything feels safer in the secrecy of night,
Our hopes and fears feel shameful in the broad and burning daylight.
I see the intensifying horizon, glowing pink and yellow and red,
Early morn is coming, and with it a sense of dread.
As the seconds slip by, I realize it's time, to the "real world" I must return,
As the song birds cry, during the day all the while, to be in the night is what I yearn.

It is not our time now, but only if it were
I'd sail the seven seas for you, i'd take upon your hurt.
I'd search for you upon mountain tops, i'd loudly sing your name
I'd write stories and poems and songs for you, giving our love it's deserved fame.
It is not our time yet, but God willing it shall be soon
I'll round up all the stars for you, i'll captivate the moon
I would ride into battle with you side by side,
Nothing will take you from me my love, though many men will try.
It is not our time mon coeur, and it well may never be
I will find you some how, some day, if only in my dreams
I shall walk with you hand in hand, come rain, snow, or shine
For I have always been ever yours, and you will at last be mine

I don't want to feel anymore, I don't want to pretend.
I just want this nightmare to come to an end.
I don't belong here, I need to get out.
My voice is fading, how many times do I have to shout?
I'm standing at the ledge now, and i'm looking out.
No ones there to save me or tell me it's not over.
I close my eyes and prepare to take the dive.
I take in the moment and begin to feel something inside.
A beat...followed by another...and I realize...I still have half of a heart.
As long as I have one piece, someone has to have the other.
I step away from the edge and sit down for awhile.
I wonder where he is out there and if i'll ever make him smile.
I lift my hand to the sky and let the breeze run through my fingers.
I wonder how long i'll have to wait until his hand fills this empty space.
I wonder if they day will come when I can gaze upon his face.
I wonder if he talked himself off the ledge today in hopes of meeting me.
I know the day is out there, it's just too far to see.
So i'll keep waiting and hurting and hoping, searching and laughing, crying and fading, and most importantly, living.
What good am I to the one that'll love me if I am no longer?
All the while, this journey will make me stronger.

If I hope really hard and shut my eyes really tight,
Maybe i'll be transported somewhere deep in the night.
A place where music is endless,
In every object there's a song.
There are dances that tell stories,
There is laughter to be drawn.
It's where he came to me and found me,
For I had been lost all along.
Where he whispers sweet nothings,
And makes my heart beat a song.
I find that place every night,
As I lay my head down to dream.
And as I awaken, not to my surprise,
The stars in the sky never shine quite as bright as those in his eyes.
Weep not for me, for I shall see him again.
As I lay myself down next nightfall, only he and I knowing where i've been.

Let my tears hit the earth, and up from them spring flowers.
Let someone pick them and take them to their lover.
Let my love be recycled into theirs,
For it never had the chance to live.

Lay me down beneath a great oak tree,
rest my body against the trunk.
Let my spirit find the sun,
for in the dark you'll find it sunk.
Let the tears stream down my face,
and watch them fall into the earth.
They will nourish the sturdy wood,
that bears so many broken hearts at its hearth.
Let my voice carry in the wind,
speaking words to the unknown.
Calling out for my one and only,
gathering the seeds of love it's sewn.
Let him find me in the moon light,
as I gaze upon a star.
For my body will be cold,
and my spirit will be far.
