I'm trying to deal with the pain,
But it's driving me insane.
On that day,
My world turned black and grey.
As you laid there lifeless, my insides were churning.
As I tried not to cry, my throat was burning.
Even though you made me sad,
Nobody could ever replace you because you were the best dad.
I wrote this when I was 11 years old after the passing of my father and even as a 20 year old, I still feel the raw emotions as I re read it over and over again in my mind.
