Pag-asa
Kamille Tan Aug 2012
Wala naman sigurong mawawala, kung
Aasa ako sa wala,
Guni-guni man ito o hindi.

Kundisyon ba ni bathala
Ang pagtitiyak,

Na mangyari man o hindi,
Aasa ako sa bukas?
Ngunit nakakapagod na,
Gumuguho na ang dating

Umaapaw na pag-asa.
Mangyari man o hindi
Ano bang magagawa?
Sino ba ang nagtala...?
Aasa ka pa ba?
Not really used to writing at all but I felt like it. Ahaha. Constructive criticism, no matter how harsh, is welcome.

Nawawala sa Iyong mga Mata
Kamille Tan Sep 2012
Hindi ko na
maalala

Kung kailan bang
Nagsimulang
Kinaya nang
Tapatan ang

Titig

Na lubusang
Nangwiwindang
Dahil kitang
Damdamin ang

Iyong tanaw.
Kahit ayaw

Ipakita.

Reaching Out
Kamille Tan Aug 2012
She reached out to the sky,
hoping to catch a star,
only to realize

that they were all too far.

So instead she curled in,
accepting that no star
would want to be held

by someone so bizarre.
For people who don't feel like they'll ever be liked back in return.

Sa Naglalaho
Kamille Tan Oct 2012
Ang madaling nakuha,
Madaling nawawala.

Kaya't wag nang magtangka
Na muling ibalik pa
Ang dating pinagsamahan,
Wala namang makakamtan.

Kaya bakit pa?
Sapagkat hindi ka na masayang kausap. O kakilala. O kahit ano pa.

Ganoon rin ata ang tingin mo sa akin. "Mutual" kumbaga.

Roll the Dice
Kamille Tan Mar 2013
'Til now we dance
As if in trance.

Protecting

Friendship, you called it,
Though questions linger.

Am I not worth it?

Why not risk it,
And take a chance...?
I'm getting over you, yet the question demands to be asked. It lingers in my heart, but I'm afraid I mustn't give in.

A Simple Pleasure

I dreamt of you and I holding hands;
it was rather swell.
After my heart fluttered into the

like a chiming bell.

Social networks are to show who we are under

The pretenses that usually exist
In real life, but

They’re turning out
More like shout-outs.

“Hey, this is me.
This is my existence.”

It doesn’t matter whether
What’s shown is reality or another

As long as people look good,
Decent, fun, and not at all twisted.
What happened to honesty and transparency? Secrets abound everywhere. What a sad world it is that we live in.

And There Were (10w)
Kamille Tan Sep 2012
Scribbled words, a message,

And
butterflies
all over my insides.
I don't really know what this feeling is... but I felt it earlier, it's strange.

No Right
Kamille Tan Sep 2012
What is this pang in my heart I feel?

Is it... jealousy?
But he's not mine and never has,
and never will be.
He's just a friend.
Let him be.
Well this *****. Stop it heart, stop it--- oh, I meant hypothalamus. Sorry heart.

A Fly on the Wall
Kamille Tan Sep 2012
I am but a small fly on the wall.
Collecting stories to tell no one at all.
It may seem like you're alone,
That no one notices you when you're on the phone,
But rest assured I am right there
Quietly witnessing the clandestine air.
No one notices me, and that is good
I see things and keep them in just as a fly should.

There are times when it is quite lonely
When I know that utterly
No one knows I exist,
That when I'm gone, I won't be missed.
To those people who also love collecting stories and come to realize how useless their lives are in comparison.
Kamille Tan Aug 2012
Sometimes I wonder if you're aware of it.

*Are you?
To my fascinating friend to whom I will never tell that he is such.

What isn't There (Yet)
Kamille Tan Sep 2012
He and she
Could not be.
Friendships might break.
So for their sake,
They kept it hidden
Tucked between sudden

Talks, only him and her
The words come in a blur
Riddled with silences,
Lowering pretenses.

Only time can tell what
Might come out of this, but
One can be sure that
Between smiles and chats
Something is built
That will not wilt.
Some things seem out of bounds, if only for now.
