The Only Oneis
Kamala Elisa Feb 2014
Am I the only one who dreams of the future instead of the past
Who watches the clouds pass and counts the stars instead of reflecting them in my teardrops
Who sings instead of cries myself to sleep
Who would rather listen than inform
Who thinks of life as a whirlwind instead of a trap
Who dances in the rain and smiles at the sun
Who regards challenges as obstacles to be overcome?
Sometimes, happiness is more solitary than loneliness.

Dream of Flying

Dream of Flying

When I dream of flying, its a nightmare. Because in my dreams I soar on the backs of dragons, I soar on silver wings and sit on the clouds. Each time I wake up something dies. I long for the feeling of flying again. Despair pierces my heart like a glass shard, I feel trapped, enclosed. I will never be free, I will never soar in the clouds.

Take my hand.
Don't slip away.
Look.
Look, down, to the left.
There.
See that swirling mist of darkness
Shadowed by screams of suicide?
See that abyss of despair
from which no one truly departs?
Now look up.
See my hand?
I'm here.
I am the white fire
here to warm your tired heart.
I am the tiger
Who will guide you from your desolate jungle.
I am the one who stands unshaken
Amidst the crash of breaking worlds.
Take my hand and you'll come to the light.
I'm here for you.
Trust me.
'Stand unshaken amidst the crash of breaking worlds' is a quote by Parmahansa Yogananda.
