I know how it feels... To have someone fake a feeling to get what they want, while you wear your heart on your sleeve. The crushing pressure in your chest finding out you meant nothing to someone you were in love with... why did it have to happen? What did we do to deserve this awful stinging pain? Used and tossed aside, like it never even happened. But the memories stay with us; the scars haunt us every day… The pain will never really go away, will it? Knowing that alone makes me want to give it all up. The fear of letting yourself be vulnerable to something like that again has started to overtake me. At times, it has stopped my progress. But I… we should not let the pain and fear consume us. We should take the darkness and use it; a lesson learned. We can allow ourselves to take down some of our defenses and be vulnerable.
