The Road; it’s a *****, unpaved, rocky road indicating little life to where it leads. Some would say good, some would say ****. The Road; it scares some. It scares them so much they veer off into the blistering concrete jungles that bring dreary, useless cubicles that trap human life like the barbed wire fences of the concentration camps. This Road leads to adventure. It leads to reverberation, to new life, to energy that will run through your veins like the ***** fluids from a used needle of a ******. The Road is gray, even dead in some areas. The death, dark-like colors do not indicate what the Road leads to though. It leads to color. It leads to the organic. It leads to knowledge. It leads to forgiveness. The Road, as ***** as it may be, as rough as the ridges of the great Rockies, as old as the life of an underused Supreme Court Justice; despite these unending failures, there is hope, the hope of an ending. This hope brings us joy. It brings us happiness, clarity, peace, tranquility. The Road takes us to anew. It makes us anew. It breaks us from the old. The Road is where we belong. The Road is for us, by us, with us, but never against us.

Generations upon generations - ruined,
Because imperialistic sons of ******* needed
More! More is always better, they say.
But, they never dug their daily food
From the dumpster behind a Chinese buffet.
They never had to steal food for
Their starving children. They never had
To get an education in prison to survive
After, and to protect their families.
They never walked to work at 4:30
In the morning so they could make
Minimum wage before going to their next
Job where they make ten cents more.
They never knew, because they were too
Bought into the notion that materials
Are everything and without materials,
They think you are nothing.
They don't know ****, because,
They never...

Hurdling through the dark consciousness that is life,
As if anyone had an option; born into disparity,
Left for death to find and grasp. Who deserved
Such a thing, we will never know.

Forgotten life, the worst of them all.
Perhaps from lying drunken on a street corner,
For days on end. Perhaps from the fix that
You must have, perhaps.

Regardless of our conscious excuse, we always
Return to the unconscious. To the beyond.
To that realm no one knows of, but wants so badly.
To happiness.

Discover what the mind has given you,
Realize what is within the soul!
Strengthen your heart, guided by the unknown.
Discover a world from within,
Illuminate the souls of others,
Free the minds of the debtors,
For they are the same as you.

Discover what was there from the start,
For the earth is massive, therefore is the heart.
Forgive yourself of the harm you have caused,
Love instead. Forever love.
All, and always.

Further from within' comes the happiness we bleed,
Knowing that helpless, unforgiving love is all we need.
Barred down by the scars of life;
Needing help, but you are out of sight.

To search is to find - for finding, what is earth?
The happiness from within, will only let you win.
Bring forth the light of day, with a smile -
That must amaze.

Let go of the torture of before;
Only before will bog you down;
After, you will only win.
You will be happy, you will surely live.

To forget is to pardon,
To live is to accept,
To burden is to long,
To trust is to love.

Let love find that happiness;
That happiness from within -
The one that makes us live,
To live so big.

Struggling to swallow the strong spicy bourbon,
Staining his breath, like a meatball
Splattered onto a white t shirt.
He wondered, the most dear, delightful
Wonders. His minds roof slowly collapsing
Like the spine of a paraplegic.
He dreamed of the ways he could
Revolutionize the world. Desperate for
A sincere societal change; not only in
Norms, but in culture, politics, religion;
It all mattered, it all must change.
His heart struggled, stuck inside the
Pain-staking world he had grown to
Hate. "It mustn't stay the same",
He said. But, what did he know.
Things don't just change. Things don't
Just get better. People must die.
Innocent people. Normal people.
Non-killing people, they must die.
But he continued to think.
He continued to search, deep in his soul.
People questioned his sanity: "**** lunatic!"
They would say. They. A word he hated.
Perhaps that was it. They!
He realized what he must do in order
To save all of humanity.
He sat down and he wrote. And wrote.
And wrote. And wrote. And wrote.
And wrote. And it was good.
His plan was almost complete. One more step.
Society would forever be changed.
Everyone would love. Everyone would eat.
There would be no bombs. No hate.
The world was about to forever change;
He hoped for the very best.
So he went to his room. It was light.
He reached in the drawer and felt metal.
Pulling out the key to societies happiness.
He, himself became happy. He looked around,
Then...
Bam!

I was approached the other day by an older man.
He told me,
“Don’t ruin a life.”
I thought he wanted money; if I didn't give
His life would be ruined.
This man was looking deeply;
Dipping into a section of my soul, connecting ours as one.
I noticed his eyes,
They began to tear up,
Like a swimming pool, suddenly being filled with rain.
I was so confused, so I asked;
“Sir, what do you mean?”
“Don’t ruin a life”, he answered,
In the same tone as before – softly.
I decided to say “thank you”
And I walked away.
Up the street I went, on my way home.
I noticed something ahead, perhaps a bicycle?
As I neared, I realized it was a person.
I hurried to the scene; no one around.
An elderly woman lying there,
A red pool beside her battered head.
There was a note on her chest.
It read,
“I’m sorry my dear
I’m sorry my dear
I did not mean
To ruin your life.”
