The wind that chilled your mortal soul
Took love away from a love,
And with it chilled the heart of the man
Who loved you eternally

The kingdom by the sea that was, is now no more,
For you are what kept it alive
And you lay so selfishly in your sandy grave,
And he dreads everyday that he still wakes

It was not your fault, I know this to be true;
The angels above were envious
And they took you away from the man who thought
That you eternally loved him back

So many years to go
Yet without purpose we all feel
If only you could know

Going to and fro
Know not what is and is not real
So many years to go

Emotions we won't show
the layers we won't peel
If only you could know

We have much time to grow
But time feels so surreal
So many years to go

Everyday, you know
Could be your very last meal
If only you could know

Let the water flow
In this earth, this spinning wheel
So many years to go
If only you could know

The dead of fall brings new life into me
And raises me up as leaves sail to the ground
The changing of colours - A marvel to see
And throughout the trees no green leaf can be found

Some yearn for the warmth of the sun in the sky
As I sit in serenity in the cool, crisp air
And step on the crackling leaves I pass by
And I fall into autumn and forget all my cares

Some long for the snow to fall gently to the earth
As I smell the smell that is only of fall:
The smell of pumpkins and cider and joy and mirth
And breath in so deeply and take in it all

The seasons must change and the nights will grow long
And the land will turn orange and the wind will blow strong
