I close my eyes
And I see his
I take a deep breath
And I breathe his air
I stretch my tongue passed my lips
And I can taste his

Primitive dance of the hunters
Drums start beating
He leaps, I lunge.
Drumbeat quickens
I snarl, he growls.
Pounding rapid strikes of the drums
Lust explodes
The flesh and the fur torn from our bodies
We wrestle on the ground in hunger

Can’t fight the rising fire within
Sweat and blood dripping
Writhing and howling
The beast will not be put down

Ed
Lost, contemplating

Searching for answers he can not see

Answers that are buried deep

Who will take a peek?

Afraid to fly, afraid to fall

Possibilities for all

Listen close you will hear the whisper

Will he kiss her?
In memory of...

Stacey is drunk, not quite, but very mellow

The night is lame
We missed the show

How could we know?

Steph is forever in the bathroom
Is she sleeping?
Does the toilet offer her comfort?

Quiet in a room full of noise
Just a spectator

Zen
Who are you?
Who are they?
What is important is who am I?

Love, hate, happy, sad, good, and evil
You search for these things
Where are they?

You ask other people
What is love? What is hate? Am I happy? Am I sad?

How can I find these… these things?
How can I find them?
So you ponder, you unearth any clues
You explore…
Still no answers

Exhausted, you lay back on the comforting petals of the earth
You let the fragrance caress your skin
The billowing clouds lull your eyes closed
Silence is upon you

What was once a million pieces is now a complete puzzle

There are no more questions
Only answers
Inside yourself was the only place you needed to look,
However, the one place you did not

Who are you?
Who are they?
Who am I?

All that is within is all that you need

Stare at the wall
Stare at the ceiling

Eyes glazed, minds dazed
Trapped in death wearing masks of sadness
Words spewing, flailing arms in less crowded space
Interruptions from the waiter cause obscure comments from the tables speaking guild

Is there a resolution to the conversation?
What is the purpose?
That’s the meaning, the manifesto…”***”

Idle chitchat to pass the time with hints and slivers of individual personalities

Plain and simple “***”
This poem is over a decade old!

At just that moment I stood there
Smelling the fresh ground coffee

At just that moment I stood there
On pause

At just that moment I stood there
Footsteps fall
Coins drop to the floor
Electronic blips resonate

At just that moment I stood there
Watching

At just that moment I stood there
Peeking at the gears of the clock

At just that moment I stood there
The edges blurred
I blinked an eye
I swirled into motion

At just that moment I stood there

— The End —
