My Journey Far Away
Julius Xavier Dec 2012
I will go on a journey far away
Away from your memories
Away from my heartaches
In my journey far away
I will flutter like the wind
I will dive like the currents

Like a silver arrow I will shine
As it flies to its direction
Of a lonely solitary mission
It will know the reason why
Once it hits a sudden bend
Cause no journey ever ends
Unless you arrive
At the beginning of
Another goodbye

In my journey far away
I will bring a fiery knife
And every step of the way
I will cut memories of you
Of each moment we shared
Of each joy we gave
And of each pain it ensnared
For each cut, how painful it may be
Will break me free
From the shackles of yesterday
That began on that magical Saturday

In my journey come what may
But the only two things I wish
Is that in my journey far away
How absurd it may be
That I do not meet you along the way
And that once I come home
I will not find your freshly baked cookies
Waiting for me

To Find A Princess
Julius Xavier Dec 2012
Lips as red as blood
Of a brilliant rosebud
Hair as black as night
Unafraid of any fright
Skin as white as snow
From a kingdom long ago

As moment became memory
Of ancient wars of glory
And as days became years
Of long forgotten tears
I've kept close in my heart
An image that cannot be apart
Of your timeless beauty

I've felt it was my duty to find you
From a forgotten place no one knew
I've searched from places to place
Until it became a pointless chase
Then I saw in that forests of apples
Stood a lonely ruined castle

I searched the empty halls of your castle
From rounded stairs and broken chairs
Until I reached the top of the highest tower
I saw nothing but a single golden mirror
And then it suddenly became clearer

I stood in front of this ancient projector
As the glass melted and formed a specter
It spoke in a deep and evil voice
"What do you want to know oh seeker?"
I felt my body and spirit become weaker
As I stood there longer and longer
"Mirror, mirror on the wall
Where's the princess who'll make me fall?"
