I met a woman named Gazelle
She loved others
much more than herself
until one day,
one day she died
so it goes
lots of people cried

I met a snake in my dreams
he hated others
he was covered in green,
green slime
one day he died
a man crushed his head
nobody cried

God, do you hear me when i pray?
Do you have ears?
Do you really work that way?
I don't know.
I might never know,
but it can't hurt
so here I go

Lord, help me through today
I need your lighthouse
show me the way
I've every reason to me glad,
but I'm goin mad
Show me the peace I'll one day have.
Show me the peace I'll one day have!
Show me the peace

After you pleasure yourself with that mirror you're lookin' in
why don't you bring yourself down to the universe we're in

Look past yourself

I'm right in front of you, you can't see me standin' here
you're unconscious  ignoring brings my heart to tears

Look past yourself

Sometimes I complain about food I get to eat
It's dumb, where I live the world is at my feet

Look past yourself

Sometimes you feel invisible
but you'll learn to stand on your own
maybe they'll notice what you wear

Sometimes I feel invisible
but at least I can stand on my own
maybe they'll notice my hair

I know God didn't mean for anyone to be alone
It's tough when you're stuck in a world you can't condone

Look past yourself

Miss Inspiration rain down on me.
Give me smoke free air to breath.
Lead me through the day and guide me
through the night.

Be my eternal light.
Take away my darkest fright.
Show me the truth in the pictures in the clouds.

Miss Inspiration rain down on me.
Give me smoke free air to breath.
Lead me through the day and guide me through the night.

Keep me humble; never proud.
So I can see your face in the crowd,
when I'm looking in the wrong direction,
focused solely on imperfections.
My own self causes me to slip
I lose the warm safety of your grip.

Miss inspiration rain down on me.
Give me smoke free air to breath.
Lead me through the day and guide me
through the night.

Be my eternal light.
Take away my darkest fright.
Show me the truth in the pictures in the clouds.

Hey old man in the cadillac,
where you goin?
Hey old man in the cadillac,
where you goin?

What's the price you had to pay for those wheels?
Do they make your life seem more real?

Hey old man in the cadillac,
where you goin?

hey, hey, hey

Hey young woman with the gucci purse,
how's it goin?
Hey young woman with the gucci purse,
how's it goin?

I can tell by your bags you're too expensive for me.
Do designer clothes make you feel free?

Hey young woman with the gucci purse,
how's it goin?

hey, hey, hey

Hey old man in the cadillac,
where you goin?
Hey old man in the cadillac,
where you goin?

What's the price you had to pay for those wheels?
True satisfaction must be something surreal.

Hey old man in the cadillac,
where you goin?

hey, hey, hey

Still livin' in this town
my father's town
the town of my youth

Got to clear up this cloudy view
of our little world with you

Sometimes, when it rains it pours
but it's feelin' more like a monsoon

Got to make a plan of escape
real, real
soon, soon
soon

It's been dark for forty days
I'm on the edge of sane
It's time to get away

The sun is ticking like a clock
a new day it starts,
a new day it stops

My heart is beating like a drum
it wont end until the battle for affection is won

Sometimes when it rains it pours
but it's feelin' more like a monsoon

Got to make a plan of escape
real, real
soon, soon
soon

It's been dark for forty days
I'm on the the edge of sane
It's time to get away

Time to make haiste

Please, stop talkin' 'bout yourself that way
as if you have a smaller brain
No one's buying that but you

You care too much about your good grades
and all the things your teachers say
Don't you know those thing will never last?

Educated idiot
In the desk right next to me
Educated idiot
Writing on the board where you teach
Educated idiot
Your words, they sound so sweet
From the pulpit where you preach once or twice a week,
once or twice a week

Well I don't want to know how much you get paid
or hear the ***** details 'bout the last time you got laid
Sometimes you really make me sick

You act like you have somethin' important to say
but then you treat people like animals
no, only a fool will listen to a word of it

Educated idiot
In the desk right next to me
Educated idiot
Writing on the board where you teach
Educated idiot
Your words, they sound so sweet
From the pulpit where you preach once or twice a week,
once or twice a week

Oh, how do drugs and cigarettes
help us to achieve
the greatness locked inside of us
that no one else sees
We're all wandering aroung
on nameless roads
the destination
no one knows

Lookin for a chance to bathe in the see

Please, don't be

The Educated idiot
In the desk right next to me
Educated idiot
Writing on the board where you teach
Educated idiot
Your words, they sound so sweet
From the pulpit where you preach once or twice a week,
once or twice a week

I'm playing the game that I swore I would never play
The dice and the cards on the table make my legs lame
One more shot, maybe a bowl 'till I don't feel a thing
There's never a winner
You know that's the rule of the game

I'm gonna need some time
to think things over
I'm gonna go outside
and breathe some air

Today will go down
in my insignificant history
as the day you fractured my heart
If your gonna leave now,
please, don't come back

I wish you were made of crystal
so I could see your veigns
but I would probably break you
A clumsy boy's not easy to train

I wish your mind
was as clearly defined
as the curves of your body
I wish your book was easier to read

I wish you were made of crystal
so I could see your veigns
but I would probably break you
A clumsy boy's not easy to train

Take me down
from this cloud
of ecstasy

The higher we go
the harder this fall
is gonna be

It took me nineteen years
to begin to know myself
How many more years
until I truly trust
someone else?

It's cold up here
There's groups of clouds
far as the eye can see

People crowd
floating around
mostly aimlessly

It took me twenty years
to begin to know myself
How many more years
until I truly love
someone else?

It's raining now
My cloud disintegrates
It wets my feet

The people crowd
anticipating my fall
almost expectantly

By twenty-one years
will I know myself?
How many more years
until I truly find
the root of doubt?

Even among my friends
I often feel alone.

Each of us in turn, and
simultaneously,

sitting on our thrones.
