Drowning while falling
Jordyn Jul 2013
Ill be the biggest disappointment you ever knew
Because I couldn't stay true
To what I needed over what I wanted.
And while your counting the stars in my eyes
I'm trying to count on myself,
But ending up empty handed.
And im afraid while your falling
I'm drowning in my own regret By not learning how to swim on my own first.

Counting stars
Jordyn Jul 2013
You'll be my greatest accomplishment
Or my worst
Mistake
We just have to wait
For fate
To set the date
For what he will make
Of you and I.
So don't stress
Or count stars waiting to see
If they will cross.
What's meant to be will
And what's not will pass
But until then we have this
It's slow,
It's right,
It's true.
Instead of counting stars
I'd rather count on you.
So chance is what I need.
The chance to open eyes.
To show you there is more
Then what lyes
Upon the sky's and clouds that fill your mind.
Whilst you day dream of "what if" That's where I wish to be secretly.
Floating in the clouds of your mind.
So expand it.
Create a door so that I may come in, toss me the key that hangs dear by your heart
And I will show you.
We may have to wait to see what is in store,
But until you can open that door on your own to the fresh start
Ill wait outside patiently counting stars.

Sea
Jordyn Jul 2013
Sea
Dear sea you seem to know me
My hesitations,
My insecurities,
My secrets,
And with your waves you taunt me
Entangling yourself in my regrets.

Dear sea you hypnotize me
Your peaks,
Azure swells,
Your depth,
With your seductive dance you call me,
Through hesitation I hold my breath.

Dear sea it's you that mocks me,
Your banter,
Your finesse,
Your flow.
You tease my feet that yearn to jump,
Knowing they aren't prepared to go.

Oh sea, you've been beside me,
Through tides,
Through storms,
Through shine.
Though somewhere in our voyage,
You stole something that was mine.

Sea, you stole my strength.
You bashed,
You stung,
I drowned.
Your waves took me in,
Your waves took me down.

But dearest sea, I still hold one secret.
One truth,
One desire,
One stake.
I hold within the power to rise,
To overcome your breaks.

So sea, rise I will.
Ill struggle,
Ill push,
Ill strive.
And although you took me under,
I don't regret the dive.
