Cuts hidden by garters.
Bruises hidden by pearls.
No one can tell what hair you're missing
if you put them in cute little curls.

But it's not a man at stake,
for it was you wielding the blade.
You did give him your heart for his words.
Indeed, what a nice little trade.

So when you're on the edge of your life,
because of a sinister night for two.
Just remember it's all your fault,
and jump when given the cue.

Innocence in a day,
Ignoring the true event,
And what it's really done.
A blood bath for infidels,
A feast for crucifixion.

Gather round!
Let us give thanks
To our daily prosecution.
For we are not one
If not united in faith
Pity to those,
Only against our cause.
May god have mercy
On ours, but not theirs.
Without commitment,
They do not deserve.

A tar stained family gathering.
Barley on the breath of elders.
Red eyes of the young
Starving for knowledge.
Dine together, nevertheless.
Assumptions never spoken
Just choked back,
Discussed with glances.

Bring out the fancy china,
Disguised as styrofoam.
Let gluttony take place.
Consume what you can,
Before someone else does.

A festive encounter
For the loss of sin,
But still it resides
Trenches deep,
Universe wide.
Incognito from the holly
Decorating the liveliness.

Home.
Warm and welcoming,
Like the dawn in the beginning of spring.

You.
Handsome and charming,
Like the prince I was promised.

You are my home.
You are the tattered shack,
With foundations dissolving into sand,
That holds on to protect me from the storm.

You always told me
there was a ratio between pillows
and loneliness.
I guess that's why
I have so many more
now that you're gone.

We stopped picking
lucky cigarettes
when we realized
they couldn't ****
the demons inside.

We can try
to cover them up,
conceal them,
but in our brain
there's nowhere to hide.

They say we choose our battles,
if so this one's lost.
We wage these wars,
without knowing the cost.

I once killed a man
who smelled of smoke,
by holding his hand.

I killed another when I held him dear,
and in the afterlife he's still in fear.

I killed a man, I tore him apart
when I kissed him with promises,
and ripped out his heart.

I killed you too,
the one I didn't choose,
because I was too brainwashed
to see what there was to lose.

I once loved a man who took my heart.
He took my serenity, I was torn apart.

He was like an angel
from the gates of hell,
and now in his presence
the darkness fell.

Then there was light,
and I'm confused what to do,
because if the decision was right
I would be with you.
