The Boat
Jordan Baker Aug 2012
All things must end in time
Regardless of who when where or why
I am absolved by the setting sun
In this absence of light the darkness is All, the shadow is One
The Ray of intellect pulls pieces from the vast darkness
Attached by fear, chased by longing
We run in circles, burying Truth beneath flecks of meaningless illumination
Frustation, anger, the illusion of danger.
I am a fool.

I sit, surrounded by water in a rowboat without oars demanding control or salvation.
There is no alternative, no freedom of suffering from pain nor dehydration.
My body, my boat, my ocean are destined to fall to dust
The wise man knows this and worries not.

Just as the sun sets, the rays that illuminate are impermanent
All that ever was transitions to all that can never be
Beyond suffering, beyond pain
Beyond illusory words orchestrated on this page
It is held by a fabric that cannot be named
It resonates in our being as love
It’s the deepest darkness that holds the brightest light.

You may heed my words or continue the Material spin
It’s up to you where it ends or when you begin
But know this truly and deeply my friend,
When your travels are over
Lessons learned and suffering done
We will be made One
Destined to recuperate in the womb of the Sun.

Love Everlasting
Jordan Baker Aug 2012
Love Everlasting
Until the last gasping of my life suit
United we savor life’s sweet fruit
Free our minds from the pains of the winds of change
Life is grand and love is strange
The water that flows in a universal way
Regardless of time and space
Unseen intelligence maneuvers the actors on stage
Like Melatonin and DMT in a dreaming brain
No matter what the situation they all relate
Just metaphysical metaphors to the cosmic state.

The Early Deaths
Jordan Baker Aug 2012
The early deaths
Friends full of life, Passion to equal the sun
Left before they’re lives had truly begun
It was the design of their decisions that did them in
Failed to heed the signs and learn any lessons
Their fear and hate obscured all blessings
They slept the all too familiar dream of life
When you don’t play the  game you must awaken and get right
For this game board has many waiting to roll the dice
The winners awake without tombstones and cries
They heeded the lessons and ignored the lies
What once was a game board turns into a blank canvas
This is where the eternal life dances

— The End —
