The feelings gone
John michalski Aug 2015
The script were reading,
As we act out our lives.
As we read between the lines
When the curtain slowly opens
We act out our lies.
We cannot protray a hope,
From a wishing well.
I cannot  betray my feelings by show and tell.
I don't know what happened,
But the feelings gone.
I tried to get it back but it left me alone.
I can't take the lead,
In which I cannot see.
And I can know longer read,
What I don't feel.
Time cannot paint a portrait  of the way it use to be.
Please don't put on those sad eyes when you look at me.
But a play always ends,
As sad as it may be.
And the curtain always closes,
As it will,
For you and me.
I don't know what happened,
But the feelings gone.
I tried to get it back but it left me alone.

Goodbye yesterday
John michalski Aug 2015
Somewhere  in the world,
Someone is loving you more and more,
With each passing day.
When I have a doubt  in my mind it's been you.
Goodbye yesterday.
I wish I could take you with me,
But I struggle to find you.
My heart is lonely,
My arms are empty.
Buy I still reach for your touch.
I stand,
But fall in love all over again to the thought of you.
I still have sand in my shoes.
But can't miss the view,
Of your beautiful  eyes that glimmer  like the sun.

Roulette
John michalski Aug 2015
You look at me
With only eyes that can see,
The real face behind a mask.
You dance,
Dance amongst the dead.
With knuckles  white your etched in my mind,
Your love is roulette.
A shot in the dark.
When two hearts must part,
From its masquerade.
Motionless,
I stand still in the crowd.
Wearing a plastic smile,
As If all was a bad dream.
But you still look at me
With only eyes that can see,
The real face behind a mask.

Midnight oil
John michalski Aug 2015
She's  got passions,
Waiting to be unleashed.
And he's a boy,
Wanting her touch.
They slide together like midnight oil.
Each loving the other so much.
The night,
Brings out the raw feelings.
And there young eyes,
Holds the heat of light.
There bodies move to an old tune,
Like music in the wind.
They caress to a fire.
Love is a godsend.
He promises her the stars,
She promises him the sun.
As they roll in the backseat  one on one.
Life holds no mysteries.
Only a magical kiss by moonlight.
They slide together like midnight oil.
Holding on to the moment so tight.
Whispers and cries,
Explode through there minds.
Loving smiles,
Without ties.
Young lovers go there separate ways.
Never to pass this way again.
But they share a memory so loyal.
And will always remember a night,
They slid together like midnight oil.

Memories of the sea
John michalski Aug 2015
The smell of the salt in the air,
Reminds me of the sweet scent of your perfume.
The gentle breeze blows through my hair,
Like the look in your eyes when you say I love you.
Memories of the sea,
Memories of you and me.
Walking barefoot together in the sand,
With the tides slowly rolling in.
Seagulls flying above our heads and into the sunset.
The feeling we held in our hearts,
Before we fell apart.
Your love was a mystery.
Your smile I'll miss,
But I miss you the most.
The memories of the sea remind me of you,
Of us.
I see you in my dreams.
I see you,
But you look away.
