After the smoke
John Art Feb 2012
Landing softly
No crash down
No heart feelings
No going 'round and 'round

So nice to see this happen
The flower is blooming
The bond is closing
And soon the union will deepen

More than just flesh and metal
the crossing will permeate our beings
and will shine on us and all
because we chose, because we know.

Darkness
John Art Feb 2012
There is darkness in the brightest stars
Would you like to see mine?
It lies in the depth of my past
And it's here right now looking at you
Don't be afraid, it's alright
It's just me... just me
My god it's easy to lose track of it
Do you know what I mean?
You should. You all should.
this a piece I wrote some years ago. I was going through an old notebook and found it. I guess I was in some kind of mindset!? But I'm much better now :)

You came along
John Art Jan 2012
I felt solid
In my place
Strong enough to keep the pace

Until you came along

I was at ease
wasn’t looking
had no reason for wandering

until you came along

I still love her
I will not sway
But I can’t believe I’m thinking this way

You did nothing
Said even less
My head is spinning nevetheless

Since you came along

This thing will pass
Time will move on
I’m just afraid that after you’ve gone

My heart will fall
For another fling
And see how weak I’m becoming

Now that you came along

Addiction
John Art Jan 2012
Addiction
We all have one
Crawling around in every dawn
Like the black swan has its color to hate
You have darkness you use as bait

Addiction, which one’s yours
The one you deny and excuse
Is it called love, is it called hate
Whatever will seal your fate

Look at your face in the broken mirror
Look for your eyes in every shard
Once you’re gone it’s for ever
You can’t go back from being scarred

Addiction, in reality it’s mere illusion
Nothingness you live to make real
Part of yourself that is confusion
The bet you lost when you made the deal

Pull out the dagger form your heart
Wipe the pain on your white sleeve
You know from what you grew apart
You forgot to love and learned to deceive

Addiction
The torturous friend now ennemy
The demon you were and now restrained
The prison from who you are now free
The tears from the black river now drained

Ennemy
John Art Jan 2012
Ennemies are not born
They are made
What did you do?
