Words from the past
John Allen Jan 2013
Perhaps I have gain a small piece of enlightenment in the past couple of weeks. Doesn’t really matter anyway because I feel I have. So what did I find at the end of my 2 month soul search …..Simple

“Emotions are not meant to be suppressed they are still there …eventually they will come to the surface as anger …by neglect. So experience life, don’t hide from your emotion. Learn to control the only thing U can truly control … react well to your own emotions. Deal with emotions before they transform into something ugly like anger.”

Control of anything or someone else is just an arrogant illusion. We are all here to interact and if lucky we might have the opportunity to be a positive influence on someone or something.  Control if you must …look to your past …even with good intension did you ever really help another?

Straight from a jouney of madness ...John

The price of insanity
John Allen Jan 2013
The journey suddenly ends
With truth almost in hand
A truce of silence now put in place
A final veil of silk remains
Glimpses of truth dance on the threads

The journey came to a rightful end

Others took notice
My quest was done
The point was made
That’s all that was needed to be done

The journey came to the right end

One might make a difference
Uniquely my value shined bright
Smiling I thought what a perfect night
My imperfections made it so alright

The journey had to stop that night

I wonder what they saw that night
It hard to see one’s own light
Especially on that night
For rage blinded me that night

It had to stop right there that night

What gave them the ******* right?
They hung me on a cross of pain
Just to see what I might do
Once again I paid the price for all of you

The journey should never have been needed

A smile led to laughter that filled the void
Turning I waved goodbye to them
Surely I must be staking raving mad
One can only hope and dream

*Insanity is a tough cross to bear

The fruits of a moral life
John Allen Jan 2013
Impatiently rattling my golden cage
Enlightenment has scratched the bars
Shattering the illusions of comfort
A gilded cage holds me fast

I have lived a moral life …indeed

Sadly relaxed sitting in confinement
I ponder will anyone visit today
I hope it will be a joyful visit
It’s easy just listen and heed

I have lived a moral life …indeed

Weakness grips my soul as the day fades
My head cast down in pity and despair
No visitors came my way today
Another day of isolation fades in my gilded cage

I have lived a moral life …indeed

I lay my head on the concrete floor
My metal was test again today
Proudly I think I lived another righteous day
It’s late, I ponder will anyone visit today

**I have lived a moral life …indeed

It’s up to you
John Allen Dec 2012
Love, hate, all the same
Can you not relate?
I love you, I hate you
Embrace me, now leave

What does it mean?
How would I know?

Leave, stay, all the same
Get out, wait please stay
*******, who are you?
Don’t tell me what to do

What does it mean?
How would I know?

It is everything, yet nothing
Believe it and be real
*******, who are you
Don’t tell me what to think

What does it mean?
How would I know?

After all that you feel
All that you think
All that you believe
Is that not up to you?

The Art of Being Alone
John Allen Dec 2012
To dream upon a starless night
To Gazing into the empty night
From Darkness comes a distance light
Brings hope of not a lonely night

Lighting the path of dreams for the night

Dreams fade from weary eyes
Dawn pushes away the night
A new day beautifully bright
Will another catch my sight?

Hope keeps the dream in sight

The day fades slowly to night
No beauty sighted for the night
From Darkness comes a distance light
Brings Hope of not another lonely night
