I  looked at the clock this time;
Five minutes to go.
The time was same for everyone,
nobody high, nobody low.
The cacophony was worth hearing,
the whispers, the gossips, the applause too.
For I had become the biggest attraction during  that whole hour.
It was draining,
emotionally, physically.
But I am not a human,
I am a STAR.
The words at first felt ‘grinding’,
then suddenly they came into unison.
They were shouting out my name.
The Stage Manager walked upto me.
He said that it was time,
he meant MY TIME.
The world was there in front of me.
Remember,
me, not a human,
but a STAR.
They couldn’t get to me so well,
because I am a STAR.
I was to perform.
I am a STAR.
They don’t know how fake I hate to be.
My Manager screams for not being so.
I hate this world of lust and fame,
I had chosen it, though.
The world expects.
You give.
But they don’t understand is,
You a human too.
The world is bad.
lust and fame,
All in MY NAME.
And it is ALL in MY NAME.

There was a time when I was young,
Young to see my kids grow up.
But now I, in my deathbed,
I haven’t seen them,
All grown.
Away, away,
Time took me away.
They smiled, they laughed,
And I looked after them in each and every way.
But now my time has come,
And none have come to see me ,
That way.
Lonely, lonely,
I am.
They were too.
Their mother died young,
I took care of them,
they came up to be  happy kids.
But now,
Nobody keeps me happy.
“Father!” they would exclaim,
‘You are the best.” They would say.
But away, away, they went away,
Now nobody calls me father....

For the love,
for the heart;
The emotion rests,
but can't go far.
For the love of your mother,
the encouragement of your father,
how long can you go?
How long?
The little things mean it all,
your life is important my son;
Because a blind mother,
an old father,
can't do anything.....

Little things,
Will stay little.
As I grew up,
Many things became brittle.
Like a small child asks his mother,
For the moon;
As I grew up I asked my father for money.
He gave me money each time;
I asked, he gave.
But when I went out to earn a living,
Then I came to know how difficult it is to earn money.
I went to him and always asked,
It was so easy to give.
But now I earn a living,
And money is the most difficult thing.
Those little things we miss out on,
Those little deeds we forget to do;
It is distance and greed that makes us bad,
For once even I was ASKING for money,
Like you.
Oh friend! It is hard,
Real hard.
Wasting can never be an option,
This money,
The strength of the hour.
Listening is wisdom they say,
But money can alter your thoughts in the other way.
The distance in relationships may seem so huge,
And that is why money is the root cause of everything today.

Here comes the end,
they say;
But it isn't the end, I say!
Hey people,
I am not making fun,
but all I ask is,
are you here to see the end?
Agreed!
Everyone has to end one day;
But why spread the word,
when you are here;
Not live to die,
instead die to live...
For the long forgotten ancestors,
let us give them our bit;
Not fear the unkown,
and not even sit by it.
Different worlds have come to an end, different things have been destroyed.
When you did that,
did you care for any END?
Then why care now?
Keep those sins increasing;
For the one with a spirit will live,
and the remaining will END....

A smile off my face,
I see.
The man in the mirror,
Me; I am weak.
For the people who supported me,
All in ashes due to the fire.
The very night,
Had me to leave,
Fate binds everyone.
Without the worldly love,
Without any thought,
The fire…OH fire!
You had to think of me too,
My loved ones are no more.
Maybe God decided to bring them close,
So that I would learn everything,
All from experience.
But He is even cruel to me,
He took my beloved.
The way I smile,
Is out of sadness.
Out of everything that I have lost,
Maybe He just gave me THE TORCH.
Love and Death;
They don’t go hand-in-hand.
For all man’s old nest,
Are burnt off by Mother Nature’s pangs.
The fire now enters my heart.

The night is not alone;
For the moon rises at this time,
with the stars all around it,
like a shawl with stars,
only showing the beautiful face called moon.

The night is not alone;
For the trees rest in peace,
as they go into deep sleep;
the place is a witness to serenity,
harmony and love follow that way.

The night is not alone;
For those stray animals sleep,
the moonlight shines on them,
like silver, deep.

The night is not alone;
There are many companions here,
including us,
who sleep.

The night is not alone;
a reminder to the bad,
that night is not dark,
it has moonlight...

My sister Julie, aged only six;
She asked me,
'Why do these adults run for work?
Why do they not give us time?
Why do they think of making money?
Are they growing a money tree?'
              Was shocked, I;
              Even I was left alone like this.
              But my best friend Brenda,
              a fair doll,
            made me believe she was my world.
Julie's innocent eyes looked into mine,
I didn't know what to say!
For even I had felt the same way,
no family, no friends.
I couldn't tell my parents a no,
for they were spending the money,
on us.
But even I,
like Julie,
looked so lonely,
because even I felt like her once.
                She poked my arm,said,I,
                "Why can't they give us time?",
                I looked into her innocent eyes,               and said,
              "Because they care for us a  lot,
                and this isn't a lonely time..."...

They didn’t tell me to walk on my own.
But fate,
They distanced.
I sit on the bench,
Thinking about the things they had done.
The way people thought,
The way they perceive things, assume them,
All had changed.
All had changed,
Only for the worse.
I looked at the dry leaves which had just fallen,
Even they were green,
But once.
I looked at everything so lush green;
Even they would wither out someday.
Every dog has its day,
They say.
All dogs even have bad days.
I am a lonely dog.
If they would be there today,
Walk alone, they would say.
But under their guidance.
But now I walk alone,
Forever.
