I looked at the clock this time;
Five minutes to go.
The time was same for everyone,
nobody high, nobody low.
The cacophony was worth hearing,
the whispers, the gossips, the applause too.
For I had become the biggest attraction during that whole hour.
It was draining,
emotionally, physically.
But I am not a human,
I am a STAR.
The words at first felt ‘grinding’,
then suddenly they came into unison.
They were shouting out my name.
The Stage Manager walked upto me.
He said that it was time,
he meant MY TIME.
The world was there in front of me.
Remember,
me, not a human,
but a STAR.
They couldn’t get to me so well,
because I am a STAR.
I was to perform.
I am a STAR.
They don’t know how fake I hate to be.
My Manager screams for not being so.
I hate this world of lust and fame,
I had chosen it, though.
The world expects.
You give.
But they don’t understand is,
You a human too.
The world is bad.
lust and fame,
All in MY NAME.
And it is ALL in MY NAME.
