Fobos see the glass as half empty.
Mobos see it as half full.

One is envious of others, and driven by anger
Yet the other will focus, understand and fulfil.

I am lost, filled with anger, hurt and dismay
Yet I want to show joy, be relaxed and just chill.

Do I? Don't I?
What's right and what's wrong?

Sometimes it's easier to just crawl away.

I wish it wasn't.

I found an answer today.

Might not have been easy. It took time, and a way.
Hours, days, weeks, months, a year.

Hard to remember, easy to forget.
The answer is simple, not to be judged or felt.

I'll get there in the end, don't know how, when, where or why.
Answers take time to be found.
Worry not, and remember, there's no need to stress.

Everything is fine.

I found an answer today, don't know how, when, where, or why.
It was pure.

*I'm OK.

When one door closes, another one opens.

When one journey ends, another begins.

When one joy is lost, another is found.

When we stop trying to find them, they might just appear.

Is that seed of doubt
that sprouts like a ****
As soon as you take a step forward.

One small change, seems huge when small
It's one tiny step out of the norm.

But the fear it evokes, the terror of the unknown
Here it comes

You've failed. What have you done to yourself?!

But wait
who said that? Not the you who can live.
Not the you who has dreams, aspirations, hope for the future.
She's in there, somewhere, dip deep, and listen to her.

The brush of the water on the sand
sweeps like a clock.
In, out, in, out. Breathe.

Fluttering flags blow silently in the wind,
Trying to escape the sailor's knot.

Who's that? What are they doing?
Thudding, thumping, upstairs, below,
and behind.

My eyes hunt for serenity,
desperate for calm in the wild world of my mind.

Look out to sea
What do you see?
Nothing. All that happens is hidden.
Currents and creatures, my mind is ridden
With fear and worry and loathing.

The cloudy sky covers my mind
Like a blanket hiding the truth.
What I struggle to see is that that's OK,
That the blanket can be removed.

Our minds are our own, we can see that our thoughts
Don't make us who we are.

The waves, the flags, the sea, and the sky
Become part of who I am.

*I am the rock, the oak, the land
I am myself. I am.
I wrote this on holiday, feeling lost despite being surrounded by loved ones. It just helped me come back to nature.

A smile

A wave

A laugh and a joke.
Who know's what's happening in the dark?

A story

An anecdote

Some fun that's been had.
What's hidden behind the mask?

You might feel weak, alone, feeble and sad,
9 times out of 10, they are too.
Build yourself, keep strong, shed the cobwebs, stay out of the shadow.

Your life is yours. be content and true.

Thursday morning
The autumnal breeze approaches the trees
A saddening chill comes over the house, right into the bone.
Look there, listen here, where to go, what to do?
Domestic clutter draws me from pillar to post at home.
Dreams of perfection, striving for more –
Don’t worry. It’s good enough.
Caught by the delight of the garden birds
Coloured by flowers, and the glimmer of the sun.
Relax, take a break. Walk, don’t run.
This isn't the first poem I've written, but it is after joining this website. I followed the instructions from the Exercise, noticing what was around me. Comments would be appreciated! I will post some more that I've written.
