Fear and loathing grips me.
As I trudge through this town.
Weary of those who'll try to break me.
They're fake.  Don't worry.
What you see is all they've got.
Don't get the fear.
Let it go.  You're bigger than that.
Scholar versus dragon chaser.
Who do you think will win?
Take him prisoner.
Cause it goes without saying that we can't turn him loose.
He'll report us to some ****-Outback law enforcement agency and they'll run us down like dogs.

Did I just say that?
**Did they hear me?

Share your bottle,
Cause I need a shot.
And I'll dip in my stash,
4:20 or not!

Cover me up to hide your shame.
Don't worry, though.  I'll still be the victor.
You can't win.  This is my game.
I'm much stronger, smarter, and quicker.
I am the medicine.
I am the elixir.

You are but a fly in my soup.
I threw away the whole bowl.
I'll bring every squad, army, and troop
You're the programmer.
I'm your infinite loop.

You think you did well?
I should give you a sticker!
You are not that which ails me.
For I am the elixir.

Chaos and complexity
This demon standing next to me
The angel's on vacation
She says this is a test of me
But this might take the rest of me
I gotta somehow make this demon flee
Before he gets the best of me.
I've done this all before.
I need no one to rescue me.
This demon is no match, you see.
To fail is not my destiny.
A demon's never bested me.
Each demon that's tested me.
Learned why it shouldn't mess with me.

You see, I've become a soldier.
From all the chaos and complexity.

Watch the eyes in the sky that look after all the people,
Turn their eyes upon yourself.
Watch the eyes in the sky turn upon you.
Watch your armies turn their swords upon you.

They were sworn to protect you.
Now they inject you with their chemicals.
They cut you with their blades.
And they bind you with their chains.
Can you still wave your flag as the machine presses on?
Can you wave it in the air?

Watch the eyes in the sky that have turned upon you,
Start thinking for themselves.
Watch the machine press on
Watch your machine press on.

They were sworn to protect you.
Now they inject you with their chemicals.
And they cut you with their blades.
And they bind you with their chains.
Can you still wave your flag as the machine presses on?
Covered in blood, sweat and oil.
Tattered and torn.
Can you wave it?
Will you wave it?

Watch the eyes in the sky that look after all the people,
Turn their eyes upon yourself.
Watch the machines start thinking.
See the human mind shrinking,
As the machine presses on.

Watch the armies that are sworn to protect you,
Turn their eyes upon you.
Turn their guns upon you.
Watch the soldier's mind shrink.
The weapons, too, begin to think.

The war has begun.
But not a single man will fight.
Not a single man will fight.
By the time the machines are done,
Man or machine will be no more.

Somebody, somebody, free my soul.
I want it.  I need it.  It's never gettin' old.
Somebody, somebody, fill this hole.
Before they escape, before they escape.

Eat me.  **** me.
Free me from this hell.
Beat me.  Break me.
I swear I'll never tell.
Never tell.
Of this hell.

Somebody, somebody, I am growing old.
I want to.  I need to.  It's worthless.
Somebody, somebody, before I am cold.
Let it escape.  Let it escape.

Eat me.  **** me.
Bust open my shell.
Beat me.  Break me.
Never could they tell.
Could they tell.
Of this hell.
