Weekdays
Jerome Facione Dec 2013
Knock Knock. Oh dope!
Someone's tapping on my door!
Knock Knock. **** yeah!
Nobody comes here anymore.
Knock Knock. This is great!
Pure excitement can't be ignored!
Click Swing. I sing "what's up," just to find:
A girl, in another world, knocking on my neighbor's door
Jerome Facione Dec 2013
'I want to be your first so bad'
She whispers in my ear
Near the warm TV glow
But the flow: so slow from her lips.

In complete belief, I believe
Her breaths,
Despite her face: dimmed by dim lights.
The Gamecube murmurs and my heart takes flight.

Then reaching,
To touch her face,
She redirects me to the base
Of her hips; changing clips

From love to lust.
Perhaps she must...

But not for me.
Not me.

To fall for a friend,
In the end, is all.

Today I Will Be
Jerome Facione Dec 2013
Today I will be the strings that I strum;
Gently thundering by the will of my thumb,
Constantly changing by rhythm and tone,
Based on my finger—No-- based on my bone.

Today I will be the tack in the wall
Providing stability for friends in need,
I won’t let them loose, I won’t let them fall!
And I’ll show them that they can trust me.

Perhaps a digression, perhaps a mad switch
Perhaps I’m acting like a *******
But always being taken advantage of
Starts to strain my love… so…

Tomorrow I will be servant to no one.
Going about the day until my day is done.

But today I’ll be those strings that I strum
And tonight I’ll just fill my throat with ***.

Below the Tide
Jerome Facione Dec 2013
On that toasty July night
Both my hands, wrapped in delight
And candles ruining moonlight,
I thought of you. And the sun.

I realized there, my time was so near
While feeling no fear
And shedding no tear
The night became cool and I started to run

Loathing love. Knife to my Neck
Brought memories of her my heart won't forget
An ineffable feeling. My ship is a wreck
Upon tranquil seas... No hands are on deck

And finding, at last, the sickening truth
That bone by bone, and tooth by tooth
I can see only one side
Causing our ships to collide.
Mine: torn and tugged below the tide
As you remain.
The same.

Goodbye.
