some kind of ruckus
Jeff Paul Jul 2017
We drown out the noises and unveil that which is life's most damning mystery.

all i needed was the restful satisfaction of bliss but settled for gleeful optimism.

in the distance, in the pits of my mind, i constantly drift out of control,
yet i fight the darkness by night, to make it another day.

Sinner in the light
Jeff Paul Jul 2018
Because the sun reveal itself, because i know the path back home
I gladly live under the banner of dead men.

I cant run so i quake under my ego.

I cant swim, I drown within the depths of my wayward emotions.

LOST
Jeff Paul Mar 2019
Oh do you hurt? does life, love and death pity you.
On who's wings will you escape?
You stand before the chasm under its charm
in order to bring to life that which you can never understand.
Listen and behold with all that you are and still you will be lost to yourself.
its bleak but its okay. its not always true but when it is maybe this can help you articulate how you feel.

BEYOND
Jeff Paul Mar 2019
High above the stars beyond this curtain of darkness souls find their respite,
the forgotten gestures of love within the human construct are kept  here, recorded, documented and sealed for safe keeping.
here the abstract is made clear.
the misunderstood  and disconnected do coalesce.
here under the wise ill sit for an eternity
and be able to hear the steady sound of my heart beat.
