They were paid a dollar but taxed to a dime
That's why they should ****
on company time.

Sea Sickness
Jay Pan Sep 2010
His mind is screaming that he’s on flat earth
but his body sways from an entire week’s worth
of pints and ***** on a wave-crashed boat.

Rolling waters (from the wind and rain?),
All while two lovers begin co-mingling,
and deep into night he’s lost while thinking:

“My mind screams of solid ground,
My body tilts and tumbles ‘round,
I think of the one who no longer waits.
And though I’m not alone,
my heart still breaks”

Ever get the feeling
that your time here on Earth
is worth if not more than your wage
something greater than grinding away?

wish you were mine

A white angel
Grazes on by,
So aloof yet astute
That it brings a tear to my eye

Gleaming with pride
I watch her grow
Alas, the time has come
And I must go

So few dark nights
Were you not there
That to tear myself away
Fills my heart with despair

Brain is
Splattered
Clattered
Pushed up
And there's the wall
Shut up
Find it
Mend it
Shape it
The bass howls
Synthetic growls
Symbolist
Exist into this

From cigarettes and vice:
“You read so well”... that's nice,
but he's wishing to share
an Autumn verse and a word.
So years go by,
leaves and ashes pile high.
What was once holy is lost
While his sharp mind crumbles to dust.
A dopamine rush through a nicotine haze.
The sacrificial fire can light the way.
It burns death into life again.
Breeze blows while stoking embers
Licking at those that are remembered,
Blissfully ignorant to the loose *****.
It's an ochre field of view.

Whatever

Spice and water
Guzzle
you're thirsty
Three thousand miles to go
But after all it's just skin
Wait, no.
Leather.
Geometric waves
Can you see through the haze?
All you see is black
But it's been violated
Through and through

The sun shines
And the moon rises

Cosmic dust on a star studded plain
Will you stare at the sky again?

With cloud whispers
And as the breeze lingers

13 billion miles away
I saw him smile today

A Riddle
Jay Pan Feb 2021
It's like

That muddy snow water that drips off the end of a boot when you go inside

Or

That leathery old hot dog rolling along the conveyor staring at passerbys in endless 10 second intervals

Or

That lead from a mechanical pencil that breaks everytime it hits the paper

The Boat Always Breaks
Jay Pan Feb 2020
We're all on this sinking ship
Together
Jump off or not
I'd propose you don't
Because who knows
Maybe you'll see the sun
And let it touch your skin
Feel the warmth
dont burn.
The sea foam hits
And its alright
Yeah

Out of Body
Jay Pan Mar 2020
She lay there with a warm western breeze blowing
No one knew what she was showing
If there were a god she'd see it there
But all there was were leaves in her hair
Then the shot thoughts start to set in
Couldnt quite feel her deadly sin
She walked up haphazardly
Sweet thickness hung supernaturally
It was then she knew
that this mountainous view
Overlooked her life.
