I do not know enough
But I do know
If I was able to walk on water
I could circle around this  world
In 2.7 years
And end up right where I am standing
At this moment
It saddens me that this earth can be conquered
In less that three journeys
Around the sun
And I do not know enough
But I do know
that if I ever did
Embark on an odyssey
Dictated  by the capabilities
Of my own two feet
I would not walk a straight line
Point A to point B
I would stop and stare
At all the things
I'd only ever seen in the glossy pages
Of magazines
I would start up conversations
With strangers
And spend months
Maybe years
in the places
That captured my heart
And hid the key
And I do not know enough
But I do know
If I could walk this land
I'd never step foot
Back here
