I can be your wanted man
and try to please you the best I can
but Heaven knows I'm a bit too late this time around

Now we've both seen this all before
What happens next I think you're sure
to walk away with a piece of my heart inside your hand

Well that's alright, that's ok
To be with you for just a day
I'm on my knees, but not to pray
That's alright, that's ok

They say "love your neighbor as yourself"
but tonight there's nobody else
but you to give all of my loving to, so play along

And in the morning, a brand new day
get what you need and walk away
I see that smile across your face, I know I'll see you again

Well that's alright, that's ok
To be with you for just a day
I'm on my knees, but not to pray
That's alright, that's ok

I see you right before me
So baby don't ignore me
Lets find some place to be alone

I see you right before me
I think you might adore me
Come be the queen atop my throne

Well that's alright, that's ok
To be with you for just a day
I'm on my knees, but not to pray
That's alright, that's ok

Open you eyes and see
Open you mind and be free
Don't hesitate to be
Don't use your words against me

I won't speak no evil
I won't hear your tainted lies
I won't be the one you see inside your mind

Because I've seen strangers
With no place left to hide
If you can't free yourself its your demise

You can try to change the world,
but you won't succeed, I'm sure you'll find
You'll redefine the life you lead,
and then you'll see, that was all we needed

Now I've been jaded,
and I've been broken down
and I know how it feels to be left out

So please for my sake,
remember this one line:
that we're all strangers, and then we die

You can try to change the world,
but you won't succeed, I'm sure you'll find
You redefine the life you lead,
and then you'll see, that was all we needed

Here's a toast
to the wicked and the broken down
pour a drink for me and my brothers

And I'll say "here's to you ,and here's to me,
and may we never disagree,
but if we do, then **** it to Hell with you,"
still I'll say "Here's to me"

Don't convict me, unless you have,
a perfect soul now, or a perfect past
Because I remember all your lies
so grab that whiskey, and come alive

yeah we'll toast, to the wicked
everybody raise 'em high if you get it
we'll toast, to the wicked
everybody's gonna die '*** we're livin

We're all sinners, and we're all saints
You're never early, and you're never late
The party's on now, its not too far
My door is open, come as you are

yeah we'll toast, to the wicked
everybody raise 'em high if you get it
we'll toast, to the wicked
everybody's gonna die '*** we're livin

If he who is without sin should cast the first stone
then he who is without sin should drink alone

yeah we'll toast, to the wicked
everybody raise 'em high if you get it
we'll toast, to the wicked
everybody's gonna die '*** we're livin

Say, who did you want to be?
And what went wrong to make you turn out like you did?
Tell me, who were you born to be?
And when did innocence leave you for dead?

Don't be scared and don't feel lonely
don't feel ashamed, your not the only one like that...
Whose dreams became those compromises,
and jealousy became disguises of the truth
As if its all on you.

Don't give up just yet;
you're not the only one who feels like you've been out-gunned
Don't think of regret;
society's met with the battles of our youth.

Just take all of the pain you hide;
it equals the courage you need to look it in the eye
And don't ever criticize yourself
for finding what you needed at the time
A song I recently wrote for my band, Amberstein. Life often doesn't turn out the way we had hoped or planned, but all is well in the end.

Some glad morning when I die,
I know you'll be right by my side
we've been through Heaven, been through Hell
you'll tell the stories you love so well

But when it rained it poured
and tell me, what were we fighting for?
If innocence and ignorance were both one in the same
we should have been okay

When shadows of this life have gone
I won't be here to sing my song
but you'll still hear me in your dreams
I might sound tired, but at least I'm free

When it rained it poured
and tell me, what we're we living for?
If innocence and ignorance were both one in the same
we would have been okay

I know that love takes compromise
and I know there's truth behind most lies
but I've seen people turn their eyes
from things they need to see

I may be young, but not sixteen
I've seen how cruel life can be
and I've seen strangers on their knees
praying that their souls are free

When it rains it pours
and tell me, what are we dying for?
if innocence and ignorance are both one in the same
we should have been okay

When it rains it pours
and tell me, what are we dying for?
If anything goes left unsaid, I'll take it to the grave
because it doesn't mean a thing.
