To reach out,
I raise my hands
But, I fall down instead.
To get up, I dream
And to undo this bungled attempt.
To teach myself to live
I take a step ahead,
To craft my dreams, I bled
Don't usher me down now,
Let me levitate.

Let me break the wall,
If you can't break it for me.
I don't wish to grow, I dream to.
No chance, no luck can take me there.
I don't want to have a bucket list
or "to do things" before my time runs out
I'd rather do everything
And add them all to my life.
To live like that
Is to live a fair life
Like a good man said
"Our truest life is when
We are in dreams awake."

Inspired by a quote by Henry David Thoreau"

I need warmth
I need Passion endless
A sweet whisper,
A kiss and
A promise.
I want compassion, jealousy,
I need a heart break
And then I need someone to fix it.
I want to be a smile,
A tear, a wound
And a cry.
I know It's not an easy road
That’s why I have never loved.
Its never easy to let go
That’s why I never got close enough.
But Now, I don’t want to live on nothing
All that I ran away from
I want it all now
I want the trouble
I want love.

Afraid to leave the past behind,
Unnerved to let the memories die.
I long to step further in life
Trying to surpass the bygones.
Yet, here I am Frozen at the crossroads.

They call it temporary,
An intense infatuation.
It passes, they say
Like a short lived memory.
That feeling of being tongue tied,
Speechless, shy, giddy
All at once
Admiration, none the less
For that “One”,
A powerful emotion
Beyond reason,
Beyond understanding.
They call it attraction
And many other things
But, guess they’ll never know
How a young heart really feels.
They call it a Crush
Why? I’ll never know.
To me, it’s a gate,
An easy entry way
Into love.

A quick glance, a tender smile
And I'm caught in a spell.
A gentle touch, a warm embrace
I know that all too well.

You are made of warmest compassion
And love, deep and true.
To reach and to comfort
The way that you do.

There's a little something
That you should know!

Your of a heart
That goes strong until the end.
You are like a bubble
So fragile, fun, fascinating.
Yet, so much more.

You are like a thought,
So uncertain.
Yet, so meaningful.

You are someone who
Everyone needs
A friend.
A friend
Yet, so much more.

You might not find love in my heart
But there's pain endless
You might not find passion in my eyes
But there's a fire that'll burn you.
I might be cold,
To you, a stone
You may think I dont believe
But, My thirst to live in belief
Is undying.
I have an anchor point
That holds me tight.
You don't have to be my windowpane
You dont have to look through
But, just dont stand away
And be a critic
Let me live
In the substance of my life
Jaishree Garg Dec 2012
I spot it sometimes,
lurking around,
hiding under its cover.
Easy to spot,
hard to look through
it’s my reservoir for darkness,
that leaves my side in the dark.

There is no shaping it,
no holding it.
It’s a part of me,
My ******.
unknown and unexpressed;

A part that lies behind the face,
my hidden self.

That bit of me
left unacknowledged,
by the entirety of my conscience.

My encounter with this part
has opened a door within.
Possessed by it,
I’m standing in my own light,
falling into my own trap,
And living below my own surface.
But, living nonetheless.

I’m aware of it now
and not ashamed.
‘Cause My best hope lies
in coming to terms with my secret self
‘Cause that which follows me,
My shadow
Might be the dark side of my being
Everything that I do not want to be
But, it is the true spirit of life
And it shall live unharmed.
