Time moves forward,
Forward it goes.
Going straight ahead,
Going where? It never knows.

Time is precious,
It never come back.
Once it is gone,
It will never look back.

Time flies,
Like the wind and tide.
Strong and fast,
No where to hide.

Listen,
To the ticks and tocks.
Coming from my wall,
Is my grandfather's clock.

Reminds me of the past,
That will never grow old.
Gives us no hint,
Or the future or what it might hold.
