A Summers Day
Jade Channell Mar 2016
This is for the girl who's lips are stained with strawberry juice and for the boy who's knees are dirtied because he helped pick them.
This is for those summer days where that same boy and girl played in the sprinklers till they were sunburned with a deep red, but still smiled and laughed at the pain it gave, because they had each other to feel it with.
This is for that boy who secretly loved that beautifully boyish girl with the glasses and freckles and for the girl who knew this and still kept quiet about it just because she wanted to hear him say the words 'I love you' all on his own.
This is for that girl who fought those bullies that were picking on the one she loved and for the boy whom confessed to her that same day with strawberries from a patch they used to go to.
This is a story about that one perfect summers day.
Sorry if this isn't the best but its my first free-write on this site and I hope ya'll like it

Sanity
Jade Channell Apr 2016
Loud voices cry inside my head
screaming for release.
I lay quietly on my bed
as cold air settles on my feet.

The knotting in my stomach
is a sure sign,
that the voices in my head
are slowly making me unwind.

No one is there.
The silence rings it true,
but the voices in my head
are sounding what is
no longer new.

They whisper and scream
the secrets that I know,
round and round
until I give.
They are my secret foe.

No one will ever hear them and
my sanity is slowly slipping.
The last bits of my coherent mind
are very slowly chipping.
Please leave me some comments and criticism. I really enjoy hearing form people.
