As a Witness
Jackman Mar 2014
As a witness to the world,
I fear our days are few,
I try to live each moment to its fullest
However my mind goes askew.

There's a force, yes!
That's keeping me alive,
A vision, a moment,
I'm striving for, every time.

I see it, yes I do!
Your there in my arms.
We're running, we're dancing,
It's love by far  -

Yet again, I imagine every test,
Every run, every show, and
Every milestone,
Will all bring me closer to you.

Should I live every moment,
Or speed up time?
I don't know what to do?

All I know is,
I just want to be with you.
Love is the hardest multiple choice question ever. Which path do you take?

A Song
Jackman Nov 2013
School is over for the day
The kids go out to play
You walk home and say
"Hip, hip, hooray!"

The sun is out
The sky is blue
For all you know it's 82

You hop on your bed
And rest your head
From the stresses of your day

But when you open your eyes
You realize
That all you've got to do is press play

You listen to the song
Sing along
And all your stresses go away.
I love those days when you come home from school (especially Friday) and turn on your favorite tune. My song that I love would have to be "Make It With You" by Bread. Hoped you like my poem! :-)

Life Poem
Jackman May 2015
Nothing, but a checklist, is a life
Full of tasks people race to complete.
They look straight ahead, and never turn back;
To them, the future is a new frontier
Waiting to be explored until they’re done, but
Everyday is like an assignment they finish,
They wake up to go to sleep;
Checking off their lists with their retired old pens,
They want to do it over again;
Life will always be a checklist.

Expression
Jackman May 2015
Gathered around the fireless pit,
The birds rejoicing to the songs;
Of easing melodies and mellow winds - no one sings along.

Tranquil, spontaneous and dynamic
is this place - we are pondering like Owls;
I wish I could sing aloud and be free, but I just sit there afoul.

I've Been
Jackman Jan 2014
I've been thinking of you day by day
Watching the tides role away
Slowly drifting back and forth
Smiling all the way

I've been sticking my feet in the sand
Dancing with you
Hand to hand
Feeling your warmth and wisdom
That you've always had

I've been running down the shore
Chasing you once more
Wishing you would never leave my arms
Your beautiful, I adore

I've been laying in the sand
Under the setting sun
Holding your hands
Embracing your presence
Like we've always had

I've been holding you once more
Feeling your wavy hair -

But then the storm come near
And my parade ends in fear
That you, who I've been dreaming about
Was never really here
Enjoy!

The Tide to the Right
Jackman May 2015
Right now, a witness I am, of the ever repeating ever progressing world,
Right now, peoples’ different definitions clash in a heavy sticky stew a-broiled; but

Right now, people are looking left, many more looking right,
Right now, the pendulum is walking back - this election is up for a fight.

Right now, the people are like crops waiting for the harvest,
Right now, the farmers are making their “witty” and impulsive agendas they claim are harmless.

Right now, America has no unity - until “POW!” - we are attacked;
Right now, I wish we could fight off our extreme, utmost, and bombarding differences

Right now. To come together. Our woes, sorrows gone.
Right now, achieve safety, happiness for all, and exclusion for none.

Love's Side Effects
Jackman May 2014
A spark, it is, you lit in my cold heart,
Now a fire to guide me through the dark;

For six moons I have been going insane,
This dame I perceive is the one I blame;

Wounding me with Cupid's piercing arrow,
I'm now in a state of delightful shame;

For sleep has left me - I'm thinking of you
At dust, at dawn, at anytime - no cue.

However, this love, a glorious wound,
Brought passion and faith to my soul, thank you.

But as I whither away,
I fear that I shall stay,
Wounded with love's insanity without you.
Hath thee felt the side effects of love Jack?
