an incomplete conundrum
a fixed and failed philosophy
a neverending neurotic nightmare
god can’t help you now
so do you go back to what you know best?
the enigma of unfinished cocktails at empty tables
you look to see what else there is
try to be hopeful, though you know the truth
answer questions with a smile
don’t forget to brush your teeth
and never let them know
Do you like music?
yeah.
That’s fantastic, so do I.
yeah.
you’ve never been to venezuela
you heard it’s nice.
thank god for our freedom, am I right?
I wouldnt go no place else
incomprehensible
you walk sometimes
just to be alone and think
why not more
infatuation
with the
permutation
of the
inundation
of the
conflagration
how do you suppose
it all works?
I mean, everything.
the plants told me
the stars are alive
but how does it work?
and what do you do?
and why?
you go back
things come up, and you forget about the magic
the point is to remember
so write it down
read it often
and never forget

unaffected by inhibition
we flow like fire
in the dark expanse
we are binary
stars
in the night sky
flicker and remind you
of what used to be
you remember you
the whole story
and here you are now
after all that was
do you see it now
supernovas
in the dark expanse
que sera sera
and so it goes

immutably so, we continue
ever upward and onward,
we sail in, and back out
and still yet-
Under the facade,
everything's askew.
The news is old
The days fly by
And we continue
ever upward, ever onward
we hold out,
Knowing full well
That that ship has sailed.
in, then back out.
when did everything
once held sacred,
disappear?

We, The Strange
Jack Von Watson Sep 2013
Back from the dust
we emerge with vengeance
in our hearts
Everything is on fire
Nothing is saved
Nothing is sacred
With the deed
having been done
We fly out
Unforeseen circumstances
await us patiently
as we await them

Never before had it been this clear
It was not what was on, but what was in.
And as soon as this became obvious,
It all seemed to flow like God had commanded it.
Rapidly expanding, and always confounding,
It had come into itself.
It could not be halted,
It was a freight train moving fast through the night with
a very heavy load.
It was on fire, breaking through the stratosphere
It was taking no prisoners.
Originally dismissed by all, it was acknowledged by all as being,
"it".
Nobody saw it coming.
But everyone noticed when it hit.
It was going to change everything.
But suddenly,
It ended.
And everything stayed the same as it always had.
