Funny how we woke up in the morning
and pretended that tomorrow never happened—
strutted naked in mirrors celebrating our youth,
laughing, knowing suns and moons couldn’t do the same.

We borrowed our arms from the fridge
and peddled bicycles with bad breath—
trading war stories ‘cause we knew
if we came back alive
life would still be the death of us.

I feel as if I am a king
The music sounds so
Beautiful to me
The violins and cello
Are wind through the willows
The piano's sweet tunes
A garden by moon
And her smile from a stone seat
The flowers spill perfume
On the stone walk
As she and I talk
The music is so sweet

Let us fly somewhere terrifying and wonderful
where supernovas explode in the darkness
Name the place
Name the time
Don't forget
to make a rhyme

We'll be there faster than you can say
Allonsy

You'll see

There's no time nor relative dimension in space
That I'd want to be without your pretty face

We have the future, the present, the long ago past
The beginning, the end; The first and the last

We'll trek through the universe in moments so fleeting
You've no idea how fast my hearts will be beating

We'll adventure
We'll explore
If you'd just open
that door

All of them will open, there's no place for locks
One's options are limitless
when you have

A Blue Box
The Doctor
Your fingers formed the words I sought,
Yet it seemed as though the tongue forgot
A coward's shield, of silver and glass
Protecting long after battle's pass
How may glory relinquish pain-
If victory's honor should wax and wane?

Like winter's sun, your affection is fleeting
And stretched by time, hearts slow their beating
This tale told - more often by some
The ones who call for love to come,
But just as threshold meets its cross
Their cries fall silent, for feared loss
This poem is my first dismissing the person I loved so deeply, and recognizing the patterns of his actions.

Oh muse, how you have begun
My heart to beating in this warm night air
The resin of your bow drips upon my soul
Salvation in the darkness of your eyes
The deepness of your red lips
And your lipstick on the cigarette filter
As you talk in patterns
Music to my ears
You steer the conversations
Sailing on dark waters of my heart
Long forgotten
In my search to find
I have lost all want to search
And but live in your gravity

The chemicals are caustic
How can you call this
Drinking water
You sleep and dream
Of the past when
Buildings gleamed and
People seemed nice
Then the cracks appeared
And we feared the worst
Firing our guns into the darkness
At anything that moved
I fight to keep my eyes open
Our fire is getting low again
