A slight brush of your hair,
Your daunting smile.
A wordless conversation,
Within our mind.

I know you're there,
You know my name.
The side hellos,
They make my day.

My mind it works,
At pell-mellĀ speeds.
To find some words,
So we can speak.

But alas this story,
It never ends.
The conversations,
They never begin.

A silent sigh,
I breath it low.
You know my name,
You said hello.

The words so sharp,
They're cold and deep.
In your heart,
I thought you'd keep.

Those few words,
Are yours alone.
Please don't sing,
This broken song.

I flew with you,
To such great heights.
But alone I fall,
The ground in sight.

I hear your laugh,
So shrill and loud.
You broke me up,
Without remorse.

Now I walk,
In defeat.
Those few words,
Still haunting me.

A driving force, that digs deep.
I fear his heart, in a glass you keep.
The shallow hope, that burns within.
A sightless guard, you've found in him.
A kindling high, you do not fear.
To give the man, who's lived in tears.
Your two kind words, are more to him.
Than scrooge's wealth, that never grows thin.
A smile, a laugh a thoughtless kiss.
Is all he needs to reminisce.
Of the time he knew a driving force.
The girl who left his heart so cold.
