Our gazes met across the stage
His brunette eyes crinkled
And his cupid lips curled
Into a smile
That brought me absolute joy and delight

For a moment, the world feels still
My cheeks bloomed in crimson red
And my lips parted in huffs of air
My hands clenched my chest
As unspoken tears appear in my gaze

Neon hues of colours ignited the stage
Where cries and cheers drowned the atmosphere
His voice ignited my heart
Like sparks of flames
That burned so bright

But in the end,
I’ll remain just a shadow in your light,
A love unspoken,
A heart that will never be yours
Written from a prompt cause I was bored huhu

I have a father
He has two sides
The good
And the bad
I’ve always hated the bad side
That’s where the angry man comes in

He isn’t perfect
I never asked him to be
His words teared through my heart
Like bullets of steel
That struck like lightning

His once fond gaze
Now corrupted with terror
He was never like this
But I guess people change

But I never like the change
Cause not everyone’s the same
Change can be two things
The good
And the bad

I treasure praises the most
Like gold
You have to fight for it
But his cold mines
Were filled with insults and mockery
That bring people to their end

I have a father
He has two sides
The good
And the bad
And I wonder if he’ll ever be the father I need
