A Means to an End
Iroquois Pliskin Mar 2017
For some, there is a single focal point.
For others, it is the sum of all parts.
In the End, all that matters is the broken hearts.
People left behind, without knowing.
“I love you.” never said,
“I’ll miss you.” instead.
The End is always waiting,
For Its chance to slip in.
We may brush It away for as long as possible.
Some will let It in when they are not able.
It may let Itself in quietly,
Or with a bang It crashes violently.
The result is always the same.
Broken hearts; loved ones maimed.
The End doesn’t always hurt Its bearer.
It most always leaves Its mark on those
Who did not get swept away.
So keep the thought borne in mind,
The End is not always kind.
