Irish Eyes Mar 2016
As the days get closer
As the nights get warmer
I still feel this ache inside my bones
Will I ever come out of this alive?
To make it to the other side
There has to be better I tell myself
A much better dream , a much better me
The one who has no darkness
The one that doesn't need to fight back so hard
Maybe if I keep telling myself and someone else
The spirits will listen and lift me up?
We all have our days I do know that
I just wish it wasn't always a tough task
To wake up
To stay awake
To accomplish what it is I need to do
As the days get closer
And the nights get warmer
I want to start a new
With the springtime I want to bloom

This really is something unique
I feel the tears building up
Yet I can't cry
Not this time
My mind building up all these memories
My heart feels so big so full
Yet my tears that need to fall can't
Not this time
This is really something unique
I want to speak to you , I really do
But I can’t
Just like my tears
I simply feel exhaustion
From fighting with myself , with this day
With every day
Funny when I want to cry or need to
I feel numb inside
I give up to the night
I give up until the sun shines
Tonight it’s just the way it has to be
This really is something unique
I feel the tears building up
Yet I can't cry
Not this time

So please grab my hand
In hopes that I can walk with you
And talk with you
Need to look in your eyes
Get lost in your soul
For tonight I need to be busy
For my nerves they keep me going
So please grab my hand
In hopes that I can walk with you
And talk with you
No longer know why it is a stranger I seek
Just need to let it all out
My nerves they have me shaking again
This happens time and time
So please stranger come with me
I think you could make this easy
so please grab my hand
Let's walk
Let's talk
Let's look up at the night sky
Count stars with me
Just be there
Listen if you can
My sweet stranger friend
I just need to feel right
Walk with me
Talk with you
Hold out your hand
Stranger
