Fighting for a breath
Water closing above my head
Striving against the currant
My heart is getting hardened
Should I board a boat and sell my soul
Drown dreams and fish for hollow goals
Fight to breathe or give up trying
To breathe an air that's satisfying
Fishing may be what most people do
But I'd rather be the fish struggling through

I can't see the ending
My eyes are fading
What can wake me from this Nightmare

Yeah everyone gets sad sometimes
Has some bad nights
When you try to talk it out
It gets waved off to the shelf
Its just a bad dream
Every single person has them who sleeps
But little do they know, don't they know
Most people wake up.
And don't mess up what I'm saying,
I know its not all the same for every type of pain.
But for those with brown flowers in their hair
Or a broken soul, stuck in despair
Who are stuck in this nightmare
You're in too deep
You're forgetting you're asleep
And these lies and these fears become you're reality
Numbing the pain and your mind with seeds
The monster who hides underneath
Starts to slither and creep to the pillow where you sleep
He infects your mind, your thoughts, and your dreams
Whispers things in your ears that no girl or boy should believe
And you can't wake up, at least not by yourself
When the light from the window tries to drag you from this hell
But you roll over in your cozy sheets, switch over another rosy cheek.
Continue slipping into your own alternate reality.

And its hard to admit to the truth, it was all in your head
The dreams that haunted you in your bed,  you felt dead
But you are not alone, whether you're without a home or famous and well-known
Whether you still dread going to school or everyone thinks you're cool
You are not alone, And you are loved.
Don't give up.
You scribble notes in the abyss,
While others dreams of true loves kiss
It goes like this

I feel like demons are attacking me
Inside out
Don't even realize its happening
These lies that they feed me
That suicide will free me
They know that it tempts me
Why can't  I be happy
The world is full of misery
Full of pain and children screaming
Out for an answer to their unending suffering
My time here is only ticking
Lets just break the clock
Smash it to the ground
Stop gasping for air and let myself drown
My friends and family say they love me
But whats the point of being when I'll never be happy

Just give me a sign
Tell me to keep going
This voice in my heart
This wind that keeps rushing
I think I know who you are
This voice in my heart
Keeps saying you love me
And to keep holding on
Theres something greater you have for me thats worth all this suffering
You say
I know what its like to hurt and to bleed
Believe me I know
But I also know and speak victory
Over you and these lies that you're living in
I've broken the chains and the door to this prison
So stop living in sin, addiction, know that I'm in to the end
On the cross, I hung broken.

I know what you're thinking…
What do you have to do with me?
What can you tell me that's worth still living
The words "I don't care" have been put on repeat
I've heard it before, from when I screamed in my sleep
Just trust me.
You CAN be free.
But it takes time. Just find that reason.
If you're willing to listen I'll tell you mine.
Jesus Christ.
He's not some made up nursery rhyme for the weak mind.
He is my saviour, comforter, empowering source of life.
God, the creator, might sound a bit far
But He wants to come down to where you are and show you his scars.
He wants to find pleasure in you and you to find pleasure in Him.
Its a relationship, thats all it is.
The hole in your heart you try to fill with alcohol
Drugs, *** and success
But its his presence in your life that will save you from death.
It took me a lot of strength
Aguing and self-hate
But when I let down my walls of my shame
Got down on my face and prayed
I found that grace.
At first I didn't want it, I felt like a fraud
But if you don't do it for yourself, do it for God
Because if you follow through with your thoughts
Out of every single person,
He'd be the most distraught.

That's all I have to say
You can take this poem and be on your way.
I just challenge you with this.
Before you take your life away
Promise me this
You'll get down on your knees and pray
And listen to what the God who created you has to say.

A child sang of timeless stories
About a King and his bride in pain
His love for her stretched across the seas
Yet her wild heart led her astray

Time again she faced her end
Crying out to her beloved
When all was lost and nothing left
He returned to keep his promise

Beautiful satin gowns for his beautiful faithful Bride
A filling feast where all would feast from far and wide
A home to keep her safe, with no fear of wicked thieves
Who storm and raid and overcame her in her darkest dreams

I await the promise of my king whom no words can describe
My king will rescue me in stride
Just as the serpents head was cut, so will it be for Rome
And finally we will win back our home

Here I stand, face to face
With my mighty King
The one for whom I have lived
This man he claims to be
He tells me that he is he
And my heart is rotten and cannot see
And what I do, I do not for me
But devils in their devilry

Who do you think you are?
That you would free me from slavery
From which I have already been made free
You are not what you claim to be
You are not what you claim to be
The King to lead us in prosperity
When the glory days flowed with wine
And this Kingdom used to be raised high
Mount Zion to shine for all to adore
And our enemies would mock us no more
No more
Our hope is weak, but it still stands
But it will not stand for this blasphemous man

Who do you think you are?
To mock who we know we are
The bride for whom our King would die
To keep his promise to mankind.

I've watched you take what's mine and claim it as your own
You've poisoned my people and desolated my home
You're a disillusioned blind leading a flock of blind sheep
You've turned your back on me, you say you're your own king
You've forgotten that I've given you this land long ago,
To look after my people and harvest what I've sowed
You've grown into weeds, casted in the net
You'll be gathered into bundles and burned in the furnace

I, your father, who made you
My blood I share is yours
I sent my brothers to save you
But you ****** them in the courts
Their righteous blood is now upon you
You killed them with yours swords
What now am I to say to you
In this never-ending war

You are my children
My own flesh and bone
Oh how I've longed for you
To return your home
While you killed those I've sent
To help you from your suffering
My heart was to gather you
Like birds under my wing
No matter how my heart has yearned
You remained unwilling
Look, your house is desolate
Your time here is withering

One day again, you'll see me
The day I hear you say
"Blessed are those who come in your name"
