We live in a world of closed eyes
Where scars tell the tales we fear to whisper.
Plagued by empty words
We seek lonely bliss.
Sly judgement motivates no end of silent torment.

Open eyes let out a scream
Heard by those squinting through the miasma
A hand shake blessed with assurance.
To be is to love.
To love is to be there.

Deaf ears elude me as I lay upon my pillow
Metallic screams ringing through my thoughts

Salt reaches for my lip
Ambiguity consumes rationality

I sit. I lie. I wait
For any courage to face truth

What is. What could be. What will be.

What won't be

Deep nights fill shallow minds.

Eyes give one point perspective,

Subjectivity is human nature

Selflessness through selfish means.
Contradictions are all that remain
Circles; a wheel
We spin but get nowhere
How can one repair oneself when
I don't know what to do.

Is truth the
Forward straight? never.

Words are wasted on those who refuse to believe.
Believe with your heart, not your mind.

Home isn't where you came from,
Where you were brought up
Or where you feel you're wanted.
Home is where you belong.

I am lost in a sea
I fall back on clichés
I have no sure grasp of hope and reason to drag myself ashore.
I could drown, or risk drowning that which I hold dear.
Who's to say I won't be doing us both a favour
To submerge us both
My subconscious
My full conscious
I don't want to be stranded alone

Why write for an educated man
Just to seem competent

Revised words only spark dishonesty

The physical to distract that of mental
Distractions from tears
The freedom of mind only invites those not welcome
Involuntary  slumber is all I can hope for

Forgiveness runs deep
For those with meaning
But how can the unforgiving be forgiven
Am I too broken?
Who's to say what's right from what's necessary
I see no way of definition
No resolve

Reverting
Between two sides of one-sided dreams
Never overcoming the other
Yet never giving up hope
Maybe it's time
