She gave him seashells because he finds them fascinating.
She gave him the light because he’s afraid of the dark.
She gave him a fan because he doesn’t like to sweat.
She gave him a clock because she knows he likes to listen to the ticking.
She gave him the wind because he finds it relaxing.

Looking for Death
Rose Sirajuddin Sep 2014
I jumped off a cliff,
Hoping you would catch me.
You didn’t.

I slit my wrists,
Hoping you would save me.
You didn’t.

I drove speedily,
Hoping you would stop me.
You didn’t.

I hung myself,
Hoping you would cut me.
You didn’t.

I drown myself,
Hoping you would pull me up.
You didn’t.

I shot myself,
Hoping you would heal my wounds.
You didn’t.

Now I am old,
Still waiting for you.
When will you come?
To take me away
From this god-forsaken land.

I want to feel your touch.
I want to feel your deadly kiss.

Please,
Take me away
Rose Sirajuddin Sep 2014
Hey you,
Why do you think you are better?
Just because you are smarter,
Just because you are taller,
Just because you are popular.

Why do you think you are better?
You spat on people lower,
You belittle them,
You discourage them.
Why?

Why do you think you are better?
Just because I am not like you,
Just because I have no knowledge of the matter,
Just because you know better.

I am no better than you,
You are no better than me.
Because in the end, being better is being nowhere without the ethics and manners towards other people.

Ask yourself, why do think you are better?

To be the one they forget
Rose Sirajuddin Sep 2014
To be the one they keep forgetting is very upsetting,
They know you’re there but they never care,
They don’t talk to you like you’re a forgotten shoe,
You were left alone made you wonder if you are known,
You saw people go out without you and it’s very painful,
Attention is the only thing you seek but you have gotten no squeak,
You thought you’re okay but you’re still grey,
You thought you meant something but they act like you’re nothing,
You got used to it but still want to quit,
You had no confident and took no compliment,
You had low self-esteem and no dream,
Because “why does it matter?” you said, “I’m better off dead!”

Your voice, so beautiful
So much more beautiful than
Birds singing on trees.
Your eyes, so mesmerising
That no one can look away.
Your face is so perfectly shaped
That it took my breath away
Whenever I look at you.
Your smile, the way it curved
Upwards to smile like a dancer
Dancing gracefully.
The way we talked – oh!
You’re an angel sent from heaven.
So beautiful
So graceful
So angelic
The perfectness of you I can never forget.

He’s sweet like cotton candy,
He’s tall like the Empire State Building,
His eyes glittered like the stars in the dark sky,
His velvet voice mesmerising me into falling in love with him,
But I did anyways, without him saying a word.

He danced in my mind,
he moved in my heart
without me knowing.

I fell and I fell and I fell
right to the pit of his glittering eyes.
But he didn’t know
because he was too busy being the sweetest guy a girl could ever met.

Nine eight seven,
I think you’re sent from heaven.

Six five four,
I can’t control it anymore.

Three two one,
Ops my love for you has just begun.

Lost
Rose Sirajuddin Sep 2014
She was lost.
She keeps telling herself that she’s not,
But it’s proven that she was lost,
when she don’t know which way to go;
left or right,
to go ahead or to go back?

She cried and cried.
Not knowing which way to go.
Not knowing what to do.
No help came when she screamed and yelled,
no one even heard her.

Darkness came within minutes
and in an hour, she was in complete darkness
with no help, no light, no one.

She cried and cried some more.
All she prayed for is for some guidance,
some signs,
something,
anything
to show her which way to go
because she was completely lost,
alone
in complete darkness
with nothing

but her own tears.

Father Father
Rose Sirajuddin Sep 2014
Father father,
Where have you gone?
Please hold me tight
What have I done?

Where have you been?
You were supposed to help
When I was having a spin.

Where have you gone?
I need your comfort,
I can’t hold on.

I miss you very much,
Am craving for your touch.

Father father,
I’ll see you soon
Maybe now or maybe in June

Father father,
I have not made you proud
I did things that weren’t allowed

Please forgive me
For not being the best
I’m just a little girl who is a bit depressed
Please forgive me
For being sad
And also bad.

Father father
I will change
To make you proud
To make you smile
In a room full of crowd
But it may take awhile
Because
Father father,
I am perfecting myself
With the books on my shelf
And I will pray for you
With all I have.

Father father
I have missed you so,
Wait for me in heaven,
Because I really want to show
What you have given,
Wisdom and lesson
To the right direction
And I will be the best daughter
To the greatest father.

Poisonous Flower
Rose Sirajuddin Sep 2014
She was beautiful
like a red blooming flower.
So beautiful that he wanted to take a closer look at her.
The closer he gets, the more he can see her thorns and how her beautiful red colour fades.
But he didn’t care, he come closer anyway.
Because he loved the way she was beautifully standing and she was so nice.

“So beautiful,” he thought, “nothing can be more beautiful than her.”

She whispered the sweetest scent that mesmerised him and he fell for her right away.

He wanted to touch her but when he did, she poisoned him with watery goo.
She said words that too painful for him to even recall but he loved her anyway.
He had hope that she will change and stop spitting poisons at his face.

But patience has it’s limits and he had lost all his hope after a year when she spits the most poisonous words at him: “I never loved you.”

He turned away – hopeless, lost and broken hearted.
He was distraught.

He was broken like pieces of a broken glass.
