Iris
With every passing second, a light in me
dims; blinks
as the nails on each floorboard loosen
just a tad(but it all
adds up in the end, right?)
Did they not tell you,
people cannot be made homes?
They come alive in the night,
shutting their eyes- letting no sliver
of moonlight in;
leaving your mind disfigured, your thoughts
horribly twisted.
Or perhaps floods that invite themselves in
without knocking, you're the unsuspected
victim of the night and your bones are placid,
hands that weren't ever caught red.
Though in my case it seems,
people choose not even to stay
for a week.
After all, home is where the heart is and
only the insane would make a home
of me.
Strange to think I've known you for three years
Yet only have I heard your voice
a handful of times
And the waters we stand by
are not one in the same
And though my words must travel great distances
to reach you,
The journey does not corrode them.
And though we may not speak as often as I'd like,
I have not forgotten you
I wonder how many times
I thought about you fixing your hair
or laughing at my stupid joke
If only I could fold the earth and
step over the mound to be by you
If only
I have no idea what a kiss could feel like.
and even when i shut these invisible eyes
your lips
are transparent
illusive
i can't even tug  your arm.

a determined agony to lose oneself in a dream
force my lids to see you
walk?
stand?
hear a deep laugh?
you've got no idea that i am wailing for you
how do you know
that i
may even
crush on you.
Are you crushing for me?

Infatuation,
a sudden call of living in hardship
i ain't got much to talk about you, Blue.
I think i have lost the accurate words to confess these little thought throbs of crushing on a guy that may not even know how badly i think i would like to talk to.
