Life's a horrible thing
But it's also beautiful in every single way

Somedays you feel like you're on top of the world
And other days it feels like the world is crushing your spine
And every single one of those 7 billion people are doing nothing but making the load heavier
And other times, people are the greatest gift to you
They carry the load above you like a halo
Sometimes you're so good at something and everything feels okay
And other times you mess up, ***** over, fall down, break apart, hurt and hurt and hurt some more

But Sweetheart,
You can't hide between those four walls
And keep the doors always shut,
Causing you to never see or feel the sunshine
All because you're afraid of the rain

There is beauty in everything
And there is terror in it too

And that, is life

Life is one huge blob of oblivion
And promises make us feel in control
Like we actually have a say

Promises are a selfish thing
Because you might really mean it
But you don't know how how fast that could change

Breaking promises is not about being heartless
It's about being human
And it's about time we understand that
Even the most loyal and trustworthy people break promises
And that is okay
