Mrs.Moon
Honey Jade Jan 2021
As Mrs.Moon watches me
Dream my striking dreams.
I wonder what she thinks,
Of my intergalactic scenes.

Looking down from above,
I only feel her love,
And what her love can bring.

But she's overwhelmed by my dreams
So she turns to face Venus, to see what she thinks.
Venus is frazzled! She mustn't act quick,
For dreams are not temporary, but can be gone in one click.

Venus reassures me
With hope, love, and joy
That these dreams are normal
And it's ok to be coy.

Mrs.Moon faces me once again, reaching out with her hand,
“You must not stay here in this humanoid land!
Your mind is far too evolved and interlaced,
Please come live with us,
And soar through outer space!

I took up her offer without second thought
Starships, galaxies, and black holes I sought!
I'm never going back to earth, not at any cost,
Except to dream, With Mrs. Moon, lost.

In an ocean of black,
Light can mean two things
Help
Or Danger

The light was neon red and
I swam closer and closer,
Until the black water altered itself into a translucent electric blue.

A ruby red squid heaved itself through the water to me
And held out its tentacle
I reached for it
the slimey sensation  put me off guard at first and
A censored scream slipped through my lips with a burst of bubbles right after
My new friend reassured me my safety and reached for my arm

Its tentacle spiraled round my arm
Tightening with every loop

Then suddenly
He took off
Flying through the vast ocean at top speed,
I felt free
How selfish of me, to feel so free
But I soon came to realize that I wasn't being selfish at all.

The squid slowed his speed,
and floated down to a majestic coral cove full of humans!
They all greeted me with smiles and waves, then asked if I wanted to stay

Then the magnificent ruby squid handed me my “welcome home” bouquet

Green
Honey Jade Jan 2021
I used to love the color
How it made me feel
Calm yet energized,
Upset but not?

So Surreal,
It was

Until it engulfed me
Every crevice in my skin was filled
Its density thickening with every movement I made
Until I could move no longer

A pig stuck in mud,
A chunk of pineapple in an innocent glob of jello

The Green compressed me
My soul, my lungs
Shot.

To Feel Is To Live
Honey Jade Jan 2021
I was not placed on this planet to live
No one was.
With every breath I take
I realize we were placed to Feel
To Imagine

Nothing is like a cold, Sunday morning
When the world is asleep,
and nothing but icy dewdrops drip to their fate in the solid ground.
And leaves wave hello to each other in the breeze,
and to you.
Until the sun sets after a hard day's work
And your eyelids finally can rest
As you drift off into complete darkness

An oasis,
Red Desert,
Blue wetlands surrounding,
Longing to run, but new weight holds you down
So you swim
Sink.

Creatures Swarm in the Thick blue abyss
Thousands, Millions in masses and herds circle round and round, letting nothing disturb them
Then there's You, looking up.

Pale yellow sun gleams through your bedside window
Your eyes squint through the adjusted atmosphere
An epiphany arises,
That's the most “alive” you've ever felt

The Mess In The Mirror
Honey Jade Jan 2021
I don’t know what she is,
Or when she arrived,
But her presence disturbs me.

Her face distorted,
Surreal
This is not Mine

A corpse
That's all she is
Blood and Blubber have swallowed me whole
Consuming my thoughts with insecurities

That woman is not me
She is decaying by the minute
Soon to be in a casket.

She is a monster

But she allows me to walk.
To Run
To fall

She gives my soul a platform to perform
She’s trying her best
but

My soul longs to be free
Each part of my mind and spirit are trying to fly
But she is holding me down
