your words
this is a translation of a poem written in spanish called "tus palabras"*

"...You say you understand, but you don't understand,
you say you'd never give up seeing eye to eye,
but never is a promise, and you can't afford to lie..."
—Never is a Promise, Fiona Apple*

I love
sitting down to see the words come out of your mouth
watching how they flee desperately
like caged wild birds
only to become musical notes
that disappear like flames after consuming their fuel
making melodious sounds while they wither away

I'm fascinated
it's like watching a half-drizzle rainbow vanish
as the cloud moves away

I get wrapped up
only because they are
a marvelous illusion

in an instant of lucidity
a moment of clarity
a single drop of sensibility
and reason unveals itself
making me crazier

the knot unties itself
the rope unravels
and I begin my descent
into the unknown

beautiful unknown
it excites me just to think you

I know not, but it's clear to me...

...you have waited for me
as I've just realized
I have waited for you

the truth is pure insanity!

afraid of her
when dreams have vanished
carefree *** would be the first thing to come to mind

however, this time *** will not suffice
i need attention
a friendly ear with an open mind
a dangerous heart
but a kind spirit
a regular do gooder
with the face of a woman
who will tell me how easy it is
to let oneself fall
and how great it is to rise up
again and again...

and again...

and yet again.

i am afraid
that i might really find her

smile baby
my girl
she felt a lil' bad today
she had a lil' something something
but she got her pills
and a lil' company

my girl
she smiled at the camera
and then asked
if i could erase the picture

yes baby
i can
but why would i?
you look so pretty

then i listened
very carefully
to that beautiful
smile

baby
smile
                    -for Sonia*

if I could
I would fly away
to be with you
I would like to hear
the sounds of mandolins
once again
by your side
smiling
laughing

but today
I do not smile
because it is days like this
which remind me
of how much I miss you
even when my husband is with me
even when my children are with me
I miss you
I miss you
I am yours
and even in the distance
you are mine

my love...
my family

your hands
i liked it...

...that you finally touched me
my hair
my face
my heart

our hands entwined

then you smiled at me
and I felt happy

my last memory of you
gravity has pulled its attraction
from under me

I feel myself drifting slightly
torwards the blue

I try to grab the thread you left behind
but I'm afraid it’s too thin
it won't hold me
or any of the memories of you
and I'm left with just that one

that only one
