Sigh.
hiddenvoice Sep 2014
It's when the walls come in and out of focus
That I begin to count the times I inhale

In A Sea Of Madness
hiddenvoice Dec 2013
Past her boiling point
She drew nearer to the ocean
Herself merging with the waves of unconsciousness
Her lungs expanding to greater heights
In deeper places, with new people
And vibrant faces
They speaking a tongue unfamiliar
Her expression twisting with confusion
A swollen, pouted lip pressed on the apple of her cheek
As she held an even tone
Big teeth; served no purpose
For now she was awaited on by a bleak daylight
No longer any rays to smile back
But a distant grasp on the forgotten surface
The only laughter she heard was the shrilling call
Of the current between the lines
Her fingertips bruised by the turning of novel seasons
A rotation grown tired of
Because she, like myself has a tainted heart
Specks of black seep through her lingerie
But the wicked men turn a blind eye
Alas ~ I blinded the other

Her tear streaked face now damp with tears of joy
For better, his shallow heart completed her darkest secret

Society Is My Oyster
hiddenvoice Oct 2013
My voice of desperation, sweet and disguised
This culture or lack of, Therefore
Strains at every vein, immobilizing
An obscured feature, hidden away
My once beating heart bound by your forceful grasp
Beneath layers of damaged tissue
A sealed temperament begging to be uncovered
So there; discover

And I have learned to face myself, through retaliation
I bleed red but underneath my blood is blue
Like a twilight haze
Foggy and distant, departed from my soul
And only love
Tear ducts claiming me, my voice
Lost in a sea of others, it's no miracle
Waves overlapping,  I surrender
Defeated and overcome by the chill of the sound
Of my own voice
This misery restrains me
The thought hadn't  crossed my mind
Perhaps the choice was never truly mine

Angels Drop Like Flies
hiddenvoice Sep 2013
From one lively moment to the next
Comes the anticipating fall
Perhaps diving, an un denied willingness to surrender
For one golden moment, my last

I don't walk alone
My shadow is all the company I need
Guiding me through unspoken territories
Recording the lack of guilt
As if I am more than human
Transcending in time through space

Awaiting a celebration
We should all attend our own funeral
The ones whom say they love me
Never quite understood

And I watch, from a distance
Their caged shadows
As oppose to mine, soaring
High and dry

Guilty As Charged
hiddenvoice Sep 2013
Chasing a million things I want
Coming short to none
But I don't care, I'm tired
Of being told to throw
My hands in the air

It wasn't my fault

Cities in my dreams, i run
The streets, like a movie
The film won't last forever
I'm as young as
The moment

It wasn't my fault

Shattered glass between my teeth
Grinding and excessive buying
The moon glows through the room
Dancing around, what I want is release

It wasn't my fault

I'm kind of over being older
Spin me around, this is what I live for
Patterns on the floor, tracing the way we move
Tainting everything in our path
So there; don't blame me

Tongue and Cheek
hiddenvoice Sep 2013
Living in leisure
Swimming through balloons
Fading in and out of consciousness
Chasing my darkest fantasy

Let's talk in person

Turn around face me
I want to see the look in your eyes
Just one of those nights
I'm as allergic to this life as I am addicted
This is love and I want out

Let's talk in person

Pucker for a champagne kiss
Buzzed into silence
Tingling in between my fingers
Their voices an alternative void
Never were a good listener

Let's talk in person

Step above you
Press my finger to your lips
Stay beneath me, you'll never be me
Flash you a smile, believe me
I mean it

Let's talk in person

Keep you on your toes
You're getting left behind
Can't fake this
